NEW: Kentucky is re-engaging with 5⭐️ F Miikka Muurinen and his camp, and apparently have been since The Nike Hoop Summit. An international Source familiar with Miikka’s recruitment tells me a visit to Lexington could be back on the table as well. Miikka had scheduled a visit originally back in September of 2024, before it was cancelled. He then told KSR in June of 2025 he was planning a visit for the fall, but that never happened due to him moving overseas to play professionally. UNC, Arkansas, Michigan are the 3 other main schools involved, with potential LSU and new HC Will Wade could get re involved. Mark Pope is keeping his options open. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Croatian F/C Michael Ružić has been receiving interest from Kentucky, per reports. But it sounds like BYU is leading to land the 7’ Big Man. LSU, Arizona State also mentioned to me. “BYU has been in on him since last year” Will be tough for Coach Pope to out-pitch some of these programs offering starting spots/Money. ACB Stats: • 5.1p, 3.4r, 16mpg. BCL Stats: 7.4p, 3.6r, 18mpg. International Scout on him: “I mean Ružić is one of the better available pickups right now. Playing some of the highest level of competition in the world and showing flashes especially as of late. Has been an NBA Prospect since he was 18. 7 footer with a jumper and great mobility, you can play him as a backup 5, or as a starting 4. Kentucky will have to move on to another C in the 2027 class after Obinna Ekezie Jr reclasses to 2026, and commits to Louisville. Obinna wasn’t just Kentucky’s #1 C, he was their #1 overall player. Things were going well enough they hadn’t offered another C’ in 2027, (til recently) So what’s next? Kentucky has made prior contact with the 4 C’s we’ll talk about today, but it might be too late to get in seriously with a couple of them. First up: (#11) 5⭐️ Paul Osaruyi. (AZ) 6’9 220lb. Breakdown: Has the highest ceiling of any of the bigs. A+ Motor/Athlete. Elite rebounder, always in the right position. Extremely versatile defender. Defends the perimeter, the paint, the rim. Very high defensive IQ. His offense is still coming along. He’s got good hands, he makes tough catches in traffic under the rim, he catches plenty of lobs, and he’s an elite rim runner who can catch and put the ball on the floor in the open court. Solid handle when not being pressured, but he doesn’t have the best footwork right now,’ so he’s limited in the post with the ball in his hands. Has a decent enough jumper he can face up, even pop out and knock one down, slips really well off screens into a push shot. But once the tools are sharpened, once he gets with some elite coaching, like I said could be the highest ceiling of all them. Very versatile offensive potential. Reclass was talked about early, still could be a possibility as well. Something to watch as Kentucky just recently extended an offer. West Virginia, Houston, Arkansas, Kansas, BYU, thought to be the main schools right now. WVU has strong ties. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

DME Academy 5⭐️ SF Ryan Hampton earned his Kentucky offer earlier this week after hosting the staff in home. Ranked top 5-10 in the 2027 class, and talks of a reclass to 2026 are starting to really heat up. Ryan is working with staff to take an official visit to Lexington. LSU, SMU are 2 others he has visited and will be involved with a reclass. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Next best C available according to NXN’s 2027 Top 100 Rankings. (#17) 4⭐️ Isaiah Hill. (IN) 7’0 205lb. Breakdown: Arguably the best shot blocker in high school. Really long arms, times his jumps well, and always stays straight up, doesn’t lean much while blocking shots he just takes them. Hes shown the ability to hold his own on the perimeter, that length definitely helps him out, his defensive IQ is just an added bonus to an already elite defensive player. Still has a ways to go to find his offensive game, but he’s come such a long way already. Adding a mid/3p jumper, extending the defense and working on his face up/handle, his hands and footwork both need work, not a reliable post up player yet, but you’re seeing the tools and the flashes of a modern C in today’s game, if he can take those tools to the next level he becomes one of the most complete C’s in HS overall. Lots of potential here. Kentucky hosted Isaiah for an unofficial but never extended an official offer. Indiana Kid, playing for Jeff Teague at Pike HS, sounds like he’ll be staying in state. Indiana, or Purdue. (Who has a level 6 crystal ball to land him on 247) but still early, maybe an offer changes things. Isaiah Hill #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Wofford Transfer PG Nils Machowski is still available in The Transfer Portal. Before he had entered, I was told Kentucky might have some interest/could reach out to Nils, but nothing has been confirmed as of now. He is Set to visit UConn this weekend and I’m told there are a few high majors who have gauged interest with Nils as a potential backup PG/CG. • 17.2p • 5.7r • 2.6a • 44/38/79 (91 3PM) • 33.7mpg Solid PG2 option, but just a potential name for BBN as of now. Malachi Jordan is a name everyone needs to get familiar with in the 2027 class. 5⭐️ SF, 6’7 225lb playing for Dream City Christian HS, and the Oakland Soldiers on the EYBL Circut. They aren’t yet, but I’d expect Kentucky to get officially involved very soon. Quote from Malachi’s father - “He absolutely loves Kentucky, has been a dream school of his since he was little” Malachi debuted at #5 in our NXN 2027 Top 100 Rankings, but will be moving up in our next update, likely taking that #1 spot. I’m a lot higher on him than the consensus national rankings. 👇🏻 Other National Rankings: ESPN: #7 ON3: #14 247: #19 • 23.3p • 5.2r • 4.7a • 2.7s • 1.0b Very smooth wing, extremely athletic, much improved with his ball handling and playmaking abilities. Gets downhill with the best of the class, but has also improved his jumpshot and has become very dangerous as a catch and shoot guy. Has the ability to breakdown a defender with his ball handling, and create space for him to get to his scoring spots. Extremely versatile defender who gets as engaged there as any top recruit I’ve seen on tape. Gonna be a very sought after player in the 2027 class.
