UPDATE: An update on Serbian SF Nikola Kusturica. Kentucky, Michigan, and UCLA are the 3 programs positioned the best coming down the stretch, I’ve been told. After speaking with a few Gonzaga Sources, it’s been reiterated to me multiple times that Gonzaga is not believed to be involved anymore, and have moved on to other potential targets. “I think it’s Kentucky, or Michigan if this is a bidding war. They’ve seemed to have pivoted to secondary guards. I think while Gonzaga staff is high on him, they won’t pay more than $3m for a guy who they think should be playing 15mpg” Also added: “What I’ve heard is his camp is actually asking for a minute restriction in year 1” Michigan has a rotational need for him, and the pitch is quite clear, their offer has also raised in the last few days, I’ve been told, but is still significantly less than what Kentucky is offering Nikola. From a Michigan Source: “Dusty has been pursuing Nikola really hard. Given LJ, Lincoln will be missing the entire season, potentially starting a 6’4 SG at SF, and the bench being filled with lower rated True Freshman, or unproven redshirt guys, they’ve really picked up the pressure on trying to land this kid. They view him as at the least an immediate bench contributor year 1, if not the starting Wing. I can’t say for sure on the numbers obviously, but they’ve supposedly raised it, it’s still not close to what Kentucky Is offering, we’ve heard $3.5m/$4.5m is the raised UM offer. (UK is supposedly offering $5.5m/$6m) The role/pitch, sacrificing a little $ to compete for National Championships, Yaxel Role has been their selling points.” From a UCLA Source: “Coaches did zoom with him and his reps. I think UCLA would love to get him, but he’d almost certainly be a rotational piece, don’t think he starts over TP or Eric, and I’m not sure they can offer even close to what Kentucky, and others likely are. UCLA only has 1 spot left, they pretty much tapped the NIL. I think the main thing really going for them is they’re supposedly being flexible with that 2nd year and locking him in now, v what every other school is definitely trying to do.” That 2nd year is also a really big point of emphasis right now for all schools involved. Nearly every program is making sure they have both years completely locked in, and won’t have to worry about potential transfer drama, contract disputes, etc next off season. A return to FC Barcelona has been on the table, but given the current college offers, has become extremely unlikely, ive been told. Spire Academy/Prep School in America is basically not an option anymore, everyone said that. Kentucky can still get this done, and the consensus from everyone I’ve spoken with stays the same, he will be a Kentucky Wildcat. but at the same time, Michigan has really positioned themselves well here with a strong late push and you cannot count them out just yet, and UCLA could potentially make it interesting with contractual language being more favorable. Nikola will be playing in the FIBA U17 World Cup from June 27th-July 5th, a decision is expected to come by then, I’ve been told by 2 international sources. especially with the schools needing to begin the enrollment process ASAP. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Quote to me from a source on Milan’s situation: “Milan is fully focused on preparing for his Individual Workouts, The Combine, and The NBA Draft. Kentucky has reached out to his agent, but Milan will not be talking to any schools personally until he makes his decision on whether he wants to return to school.” Asked him how many schools they’ll consider: “Kentucky is 1 of a handful of schools they’ll talk too” My assumption is, his agent will be doing negotiations with schools during the process, when Milan makes a decision, there will be 3+ schools ready to zoom, who are willing to pay the asking price, then go from there. NEW: Kentucky is re-engaging with 5⭐️ F Miikka Muurinen and his camp, and apparently have been since The Nike Hoop Summit. An international Source familiar with Miikka’s recruitment tells me a visit to Lexington could be back on the table as well. Miikka had scheduled a visit originally back in September of 2024, before it was cancelled. He then told KSR in June of 2025 he was planning a visit for the fall, but that never happened due to him moving overseas to play professionally. UNC, Arkansas, Michigan are the 3 other main schools involved, with potential LSU and new HC Will Wade could get re involved. Mark Pope is keeping his options open. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

Croatian F/C Michael Ružić has been receiving interest from Kentucky, per reports. But it sounds like BYU is leading to land the 7’ Big Man. LSU, Arizona State also mentioned to me. “BYU has been in on him since last year” Will be tough for Coach Pope to out-pitch some of these programs offering starting spots/Money. ACB Stats: • 5.1p, 3.4r, 16mpg. BCL Stats: 7.4p, 3.6r, 18mpg. International Scout on him: “I mean Ružić is one of the better available pickups right now. Playing some of the highest level of competition in the world and showing flashes especially as of late. Has been an NBA Prospect since he was 18. 7 footer with a jumper and great mobility, you can play him as a backup 5, or as a starting 4. Kentucky will have to move on to another C in the 2027 class after Obinna Ekezie Jr reclasses to 2026, and commits to Louisville. Obinna wasn’t just Kentucky’s #1 C, he was their #1 overall player. Things were going well enough they hadn’t offered another C’ in 2027, (til recently) So what’s next? Kentucky has made prior contact with the 4 C’s we’ll talk about today, but it might be too late to get in seriously with a couple of them. First up: (#11) 5⭐️ Paul Osaruyi. (AZ) 6’9 220lb. Breakdown: Has the highest ceiling of any of the bigs. A+ Motor/Athlete. Elite rebounder, always in the right position. Extremely versatile defender. Defends the perimeter, the paint, the rim. Very high defensive IQ. His offense is still coming along. He’s got good hands, he makes tough catches in traffic under the rim, he catches plenty of lobs, and he’s an elite rim runner who can catch and put the ball on the floor in the open court. Solid handle when not being pressured, but he doesn’t have the best footwork right now,’ so he’s limited in the post with the ball in his hands. Has a decent enough jumper he can face up, even pop out and knock one down, slips really well off screens into a push shot. But once the tools are sharpened, once he gets with some elite coaching, like I said could be the highest ceiling of all them. Very versatile offensive potential. Reclass was talked about early, still could be a possibility as well. Something to watch as Kentucky just recently extended an offer. West Virginia, Houston, Arkansas, Kansas, BYU, thought to be the main schools right now. WVU has strong ties. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball
