PETRAEUS: Every refinery in Russia within 3,000 km of Ukraine has been hit. Less than 30% of gas stations in Russia now have gas, and the fuel is so degraded that it is fouling cars. Damage inflicted by Ukraine is enormous, it's continuing, and it will only get worse for Russia.

KALLAS: We need to restrict visas for Russians. It is not okay that Russia is bombing Ukraine, killing civilians while Russians are entering EU, and enjoying our hospitality. These tourist visas are also a tool used for acts of sabotage. This is a matter of our security as well.

HARDING: Trump cut US assistance to Ukraine, repeats Kremlin talking points, actually supports Russia. He’s most pro-Russian president in US history. O’BRIEN: I mean, if Trump were a Russian agent, what exactly would he do differently? When you think about that, it’s terrifying. HARDING: It's terrifying, and the only constant we’ve seen during his presidencies is his fealty to Putin, his submissiveness, it’s really bizarre. Remember Alaska summit last year? Trump was waiting for Putin to descend from his plane, then started applauding wildly and looked nervous. O’BRIEN: The word “kompromat” does appear in the text. HARDING: Well, yes. For those not familiar with KGB methods, that’s compromising material, which I’m sure by now has been gathered on you as well. O’BRIEN: There isn’t any, mate! HARDING: Anyway, we don’t know what Putin’s got in his vault, but it’s clear that Trump knows what he did, and Putin knows what Trump did. And so I think this is one factor among others that explains Putin’s leverage. O’BRIEN: It may be that Trump is either chaotic or compromised, but he is just a puppet on a string when it comes to Putin’s interests.

FUKUYAMA: Trump remains pro-Russian. I don’t believe for a minute that he’s become more sympathetic to Ukraine. He’s frustrated because he thought Russians would actually defeat Ukraine, and he’s unhappy that this hasn’t forced them into settlement. But he hasn’t switched sides.

COONS: I've never understood why Trump spends most of his time offending and distancing United States from our closest, most trusted allies, from EU to UK to Canada to Australia, and embracing brutal authoritarians, like Kim Jong-un, Xi or Putin. While our key adversaries are becoming more and more aligned. They're not just sharing drones. They're sharing technology, sharing troops, and sharing strategic goals of stopping United States. Putin's goal for decades has been to divide United States from NATO. Trump is helping accelerate that.

KELLOGG: Russians have already been defeated. The fact remains the fact. I will give you an example. 1.2 million to 1.4 million Russians have been killed or wounded. They've gained virtually no territory. Russians came to Ukraine intending to occupy all of it and destroy it completely in a matter of days. Five years later, they are still fighting. Minimal territorial gains they made came at a terrible price. Is Putin in Kyiv? in Kharkiv? in Odesa? No. Did he cross the Dnieper? No. Did he win the war? No. Putin didn't achieve any of his goals. He can talk about victory all he wants, but he didn't achieve it.

Bessent: “This horrible conflict between Russia and Ukraine, if sides don’t talk, if we're not engaged, then how can it be solved?” It can be solved by pressuring Russia to stop its invasion through economic sanctions and by arming Ukraine. It definitely cannot be solved by trying to talk to Russia when it wants to continue its war and has no reason to stop. You had 18 months to figure that out. It's so incredibly disappointing that United States keeps pretending Russia is open to serious negotiations, when all they have ever wanted to negotiate is surrender of Ukraine. Trump administration knows it very well. What's the point of this theater?

🇵🇱 PM Tusk: I think that it’s not those who stopped Nord Stream 2 who should be ashamed, but those who built it. Germany is responsible for Europe’s dependence on Russian gas. And Russia turned out to be the aggressor. Germany shouldn’t prosecute those who, when their country was attacked by Russia, took one action or another. Poland, under every PM, warned and did everything to ensure that Nord Stream 2 did not become a reality. So that Europe was as independent as possible from Russian gas. Germans changed their minds too late.
