In this audio, RTSA CEO Amon Mweemba is heard talking to an unknown person about the hiring process. It appears that he is suggesting that the hiring process be altered to incorporate someone from a specific region of the country. President Hakainde Hichilema says the Lungu family refused to engage with him and his team the day former President Edgar Lungu died. He further says government is still trying to engage, but if they fail, it is not because of lack of attempts to engage. Former President Edgar Lungu is to be buried in South Africa tomorrow at a private funeral service following an extended dispute over the state’s involvement in the program.
