Today marked a highly successful engagement in Tanzania, where the Group President of Dangote Industries Limited led our delegation in a meeting with Her Excellency, President Samia Suluhu Hassan. Discussions focused on strategic investment opportunities in Tanzania, including the development of the Bagamoyo Port, expansion in fertilizer production, and power infrastructure. The meeting further reinforced Dangote Group’s commitment to supporting industrialization and economic growth across Africa through high-impact infrastructure and energy investments.

Today, we had physical engagements with the Project team for the proposed Dangote Industrial City and Olokola Deep Seaport Project. A major step forward in delivering one of Nigeria’s most strategic infrastructure developments. As Project Manager, I emphasized the importance of alignment, speed, and accountability, in line with the clear mandate of the Group President/CEO of Dangote Group Alhaji Aliko Dangote. We had very productive engagements with all consultants and stakeholders, with a strong focus on execution plans, timelines, and deliverables required to bring this vision to reality in the shortest possible time. This project will be transformative, driving industrialisation, boosting logistics capacity, and creating significant economic opportunities for Nigeria and beyond. The work has begun, and we are fully committed to delivering.

Yesterday, we embarked on the journey to initiate the Olokola Deep Sea Port Project, which spans across Ogun and Ondo states. We have commenced community engagements, surveys, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), and other essential activities. We have been to Ode Omi, Araromi Sea side, Okitipupa, Igbokoda… These efforts will facilitate our approach to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for approvals and ultimately enable us to move to the site ASAP. I personally lead the project team for the engagement and site visitation to demonstrate the respect the President of Dangote holds for the communities involved, pass his well wishes and explain our presence. I conveyed to them the seriousness and readiness of the Dangote Group to commence and complete this project.

My rides on the roads of Zamfara’s capital city in June 2025, in a car and on a bike different roads. In terms of roads, we’ve never seen anything like these before.
