Authorities are searching for the son of Ramón Ángel Álvarez Ayala, alias “R1,” leader of the criminal cell “Los Rs” and linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). He is suspected of ordering the femicide of influencer Valeria Márquez, which took place in May 2025 in Zapopan, Jalisco. Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection Omar García Harfuch reported that investigations indicate “R1’s” son repeatedly threatened the influencer and allegedly asked his father to commit the crime.
