"The last, best, and final offer, which just wasn't enough." Striking parking workers were offered a 27% raise in wages and benefits, 100% employer-paid health insurance, and more paid time off and it "wasn't enough." Unions in Chicago know only one word: More.

You can't hate Chicago media enough. On Monday, the Lois Lane of Chicago journalism, Heather Cherone, "reported" on the City Council Finance Cmte. approving $225K to an armed thug arrested by CPD in 2024. Lois was swift to mention the man arrested with the illegal gun, Lorenzo Williams, is black and how the arresting officer, Mike Donnelly, used profanity, is facing seven lawsuits, and has been named in lawsuits totaling $7M. Williams had an illegal gun, fled police, resisted police, and refused to drop the weapon. Williams was awarded $225K for an owie while resisting CPD. Since Lois is selective with her "reporting," we have some of Donnelly's history worth sharing. In 2017, a mentally challenged man was held captive for several hours in an apartment on the West Side. The man was bound, gagged, cut with a knife, and forced to drink toilet water while the assailants shouted profanities against white people and Donald Trump. The incident was livestreamed on Facebook and made national news. Ofc. Donnelly located the victim "bloodied and battered" in the Harrison District after the man escaped his torturers and brought him to safety. Only recently, Donnelly, along with fellow officers, recovered a stolen car and apprehended all three offenders. When arresting Lorenzo Williams, Donnelly helped get an armed thug off the street and recovered an illegal gun. Mike Donnelly is a pretty good cop. Heather Cherone sucks as a reporter. Chicago needs more Mike Donnellys and fewer Heather Cherones.

Good evening, Chicago: Meet Christine Tompkins, the mother of Derek Jordan. Jordan was shot dead by CPD in March after a car chase. Jordan's estate is, predictably, suing Chicago. On March 9, 2026, Jordan was at the wheel of a car CPD alleged was involved in a shooting earlier in the day. Jordan fled CPD. Jordan struck a pedestrian during flight from CPD. Jordan then rammed a CTA bus and an unmarked CPD vehicle while attempting to evade officers. Jordan repeatedly ignored lawful CPD orders to get out of the car. A gun was found in Jordan's car. Somehow, CPD is at fault for Jordan's death. Not. One. Dime.

It’s hard to imagine a more mind-boggling confession of someone's startling ignorance. Sunny Hostin claims the Obama Center is in "Jackson Park" and states the neighborhood "needed to be developed" and is "underserved." Jackson Park is — shocker — a literal park, not a neighborhood. Furthermore, the Obama Center is located in Hyde Park, one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Chicago. Hostin is uniquely clueless.

This is real. This is the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate. How embarrassing.

This video perfectly captures why CTA ridership has dropped. While the victim of this crime was not set aflame or sexually assaulted — it's just a theft — this is the typical experience for riders on CTA. Fairly soon, only criminals will use the CTA.

This is another perfect example of the collective failure of official leadership in Chicago. CPD receives a call of a man with gun. 10th District officers arrive and carry out a search. Residents harass CPD. Until lawmakers stop depicting CPD as the neighborhood bully, residents will continue refuse to cooperate with and hound police. Video: Chicago CrimeChasers News Update.

Calling himself a "practical progressive," Alexi says he will bring better leadership to Chicago. Hilarious! There is no such thing as a "practical progressive." Progressivism spreads disaster. Alexi Giannoulias is alternately an incompetent or a clown, and sometimes both at once.

Why is it Chicago Police cannot walk the streets without being harassed or provoked? Where is Mayor Brandon Johnson to demand CPD authority be respected? If Violence Interrupters were being routinely mistreated, Johnson would be hyperventilating about the need to comply with CVIs.

Officers assaulted at Homan and 13th in CPD's 10th District. Police are under siege, Mayor Brandon Johnson. If these officers can't make an arrest without being punched and shoved, how safe are Chicago residents? Do you job, Mr. Mayor, and defend Chicago Police.

In defeat, Kat Abughazaleh just proved progressivism is only a release of anger......

This is hardly reassuring. Brandon Johnson today said he is part of a coalition of mayors – NYC's Mamdani, Boston's Michelle Wu, Oakland's Barbara Lee, and LA's Karen Bass – and they will soon meet regularly to exchange ideas for policy proposals for the cites they govern. Johnson is admitting he will be getting policy ideas for Chicago from the dumbest mayors leading the worst-run cities in the country. Chicago is cooked.
