🌪️ BRIEF TORNADO INTERCEPT — TINLEY PARK, IL 🌪️ I intercepted a brief tornado near I-80 and Harlem Ave in Tinley Park, Illinois, where winds reached an estimated 80–90 MPH. 💨 The area suffered significant damage, including snapped power lines, numerous downed trees, and scattered structural damage. 🚨🌊 MAJOR FLOODING — SOUTH BLOOMINGTON, ILLINOIS 🌊🚨 Aerial footage shows Little Kickapoo Creek overflowing near the Belfry Drive/Medinah Drive area on the south side of Bloomington, IL, with floodwater spreading well beyond the creek channel and into residential backyards. 🏠 Homes and other structures are being threatened and surrounded by several feet of water, with reports of water filling basements as the creek continues to rise. 📈 Little Kickapoo Creek is reportedly around 12 FEET and still climbing. With the creek already out of its banks, any additional rise could push water farther into nearby low-lying properties and potentially worsen flooding around roads, bridges, yards, and structures along the creek. ⚠️ FORECAST: Flooding may continue to worsen as runoff drains into Little Kickapoo Creek. Even after the heaviest rainfall ends, the creek can remain elevated or continue rising for a period of time as upstream runoff arrives. Brandon Copic got hit by a tree that came down on us during the intense RFD surge from the tornado forming nearby on 04/23/26. 🌪️🚨 I was running outside trying to grab my $180 sunglasses after they flew off, but I had to forget about them fast because that tree was about to come flying right into me. In that moment, safety mattered way more than anything else. 🌪️ Tornado Aftermath – I-57 South of Effingham, IL (02/19/26) 🚨 A possible tornado crossed I-57 south of Effingham, Illinois, on February 19, 2026, near Edgewood, causing multiple vehicles — including cars and semi-trucks — to be blown off the roadway and severely damaged. Several individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital by ambulance. All victims were alive at the scene. The incident led to major traffic disruptions, with I-57 backed up for several hours as emergency crews responded and cleared the area. Contact [email protected] for licensing.
