Those songs bring back a lot of memories of both of them. ❤️ Dolly never forgot where she came from. She remained a woman of faith, kindness and humility no matter how famous she became. Rest in peace, Dolly. You left behind one heck of a legacy, and you will be missed. ❤️🙏

I used to listen to Casey Kasem all the time, and back in 1983, I remember sitting there as he worked his way toward #1. Before he revealed the #1 song, he played snippets of all the songs that had made the list, and I kept thinking it was going to be “Islands in the Stream.” When he finally revealed #1, I was right. It was Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Hearing this song still takes me right back to that moment. ❤️🎶

I can’t speak to the accuracy of the other four states’ numbers, but I live in Illinois and I know exactly how bad it is here. My husband and I are on a military and railroad retirement. We feel the high taxes and high cost of everything every single day. Illinois has serious problems and working people are the ones paying for it. Something has to change.🇺🇸

Throwback Thursday keeps rolling! 🎶 I know every one of these songs, yet I can’t remember what I had for breakfast this morning. Funny how that works. 😂 “The Night Chicago Died” was my grandmother’s favorite, and as my uncle was a police officer in New Jersey, it always had a special connection for her. ❤️ I also remember listening to Casey Kasem every Saturday, waiting for my favorite songs and recording them so I could play them again later. Music sure has a way of bringing those memories right back. 📻❤️
