Americans remember the 2013 shutdown, when Obama decided to lock down national parks and make the shutdown as painful as possible. He even closed the open-air, 24/7 WWII Memorial — turning away veterans. I applaud the Trump admin’s efforts to do the opposite and mitigate these negative impacts. But this is not sustainable, and Democrats should end their political games.

Democrats have presented beyond unreasonable demands to President Trump, especially when all they've asked for is a CLEAN CR. We sent the Senate a CLEAN CR. Government shutdowns are bad politics and policy. The ball is in Schumer's court to prevent a Schumer Shutdown.
