On June 23, 2026, 36-year-old nurse Allie Hummel was found dead inside her Missouri home. The 911 call came from her husband, Dr. Andrew Hummel, an anesthesiologist, who told authorities he woke up and found Allie unresponsive. But for Allie’s family, his explanation raised immediate questions. Just three months earlier, Andrew Hummel was convicted of assault after strangling Allie in July 2025. Now, both her family and investigators are waiting for autopsy and toxicology results to come back any day now as they continue to investigate her death. BREAKING NEWS: The gun found at the scene with Melissa Casias’ remains belonged to her husband Mark Casias, according to info Crime Junkie was able to confirm with New Mexico State Police Monday. This comes just days after the medical examiner’s report was released and revealed her cause of death. Melissa Casias went missing in June 2025 after failing to show up for work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Her remains were found in May 2026 in a remote area of Taos County.
