These protesters are united by HUNGER and not by ETHNICITY, RELIGION or FINANCIAL INDUCEMENT... They were provoked by the extravagant lifestyles of their leaders who keep telling them to be patient from one government to another. They've been largely peaceful despite attacks from physical and online bullies who pretend never to have participated in street protests before. There is no country in the world where protests are absolutely peaceful... I pray the government will do what is right by addressing their grievances instead of attacking them... Protest is an integral part of DEMOCRACY & CIVILISATION... CHIEF MOSHOOD & KUDIRAT ABIOLA, PA ALFRED REWANE and others died for what some people are toying with today. They can never be brought back but we shall always remember their uncommon sacrifices...

REALITY CHECKS: "As the 2027 election approaches, it's good to give a highlight of the major conditions required for any candidate to be declared winner of the election according to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. (1) Candidates must get the majority of the votes from the entire country. (2) Candidate must get at least 25% from at least 24/36 states plus the FCT. In 2023 for example, INEC declared Bola Ahmed Tinubu the winner of the election for securing 36.7% of the total votes and 25% from 29 states. Followed by Atiku Abubakar who secured 29.9% of the votes and got 25% from 21 states. And then Peter Obi who came third with 26.1% of the total votes and 25% from 15 states. What does that mean? Tinubu was declared winner not only because of the number of votes, but also because of the 25% rule, which he secured majority from Ondo, Ekiti, Kwara, Ogun, Oyo, Niger, Kogi, Benue, Jigawa, Zamfara, Borno and Rivers. On the other hand, Atiku Abubakar won states like Osun, Yobe, Gombe, Adamawa, Katsina, Bauchi, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi, Taraba, Bayelsa and Akwa-Ibom bringing it to a total of 12 states. Similarly, Peter Obi won states like Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi, Imo, Delta, Cross-River, Edo, Lagos, FCT, Plateau and Nassarawa bringing it to a total of 12 states with none from North-West and North-East. Kwankwaso dominated Kano State with more than a million votes. Based on this highlights, who do you think will win the 2027 presidential election?

WHY YOU CAN'T BLAME MRS OLUREMI TINUBU A member of the OVATION MEDIA GROUP team called me from Ile-Ife last night, frantically. I could feel him almost panting. "Sir, your Sister has done it again", he said matter-of-factly... "Who's my Sister and what has she done again?," "Haa, the First Lady MRS OLUREMI TINUBU insulted GOVERNOR ADELEKE today in public..." "Why and how?, I asked, almost rhetorically, knowing what my Sister was capable of doing when angry. I was once a victim, shortly before the family attained full blown power. Please, let me digress a little. We had met at the funeral of CHIEF MRS KEMI NELSON, inside the holy sanctuary of the ARCHBISHOP VINING MEMORIAL CHURCH in Ikeja GRA, Lagos... "Good morning Ma," I said, most repectfully. Standing by were Dr Femi Olowolafe and Senator Tokunbo Abiru. Suddenly, there was an explosion, totally unprovoked. Mrs Tinubu went like, "Bob Dee, you mean you won't campaign for my husband?" I wasted no time in responding: "I can't Ma, I'm in a different party!!" Her Excellency was livid. She said things that were not factual but out of respect for "Uncle Bola" I let it slip... 1. This latest tirade against an elected Governor was totally beneath her for several reasons: She's not an elected officer of government and has no role assigned to her in the Constitution of the Federal Republic. It is totally repugnant to openly disgrace, insult, and bully the Chief Executive of Osun State before a global audience, including his own wife. She went too far. 2. It is unbelievable that a self-professed Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God would frown at a Governor praising God. Her Church should be very embarrassed. 3. Would she have tried this with a Northern Governor reciting the Holy Koran before a speech? 4. Why does she think her family owns Nigeria and can publicly go on rampage as she wishes. 5. Many commentators have said she was lucky that Governor Ademola Adeleke is a perfect gentleman. But I can't really blame MRS OLUREMI TINUBU. I blame the squeamish Nigerians who chose to be voluntary slaves in their own country. Shame on the cowardly people who've sold their inalienable rights for power...

WHY ARE NIGERIANS SO EASILY FOOLED? When it was announced that PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU has banned the use of police escorts by VIPs, I immediately smelled a rat. First, his spin Doctors released a dummy list of those affected by the sudden and thoughtless decision, in order to test the waters. They deliberately included most unlikely names like Tinubu's hatchetman NYESOM WIKE, TINUBU's Chief campaigner in 2023 AISHA BUHARI, former Vice President ATIKU ABUBAKAR (who Constitutionally has permanent security details attached to him, as a former number two citizen) and others... It instantly became clear to me that ATIKU was one of their main targets. I predicted correctly that the evil list will be disowned and denounced as FAKE within 24 hours, and it came to pass. This was not about any conspiracy theory but based on my deep knowledge of TINUBU's antics, mindset and modus operandi. His fanatical acolytes will call it STRATEGY. But what TINUBU is toying with is not only dangerous but gravely unprecedented. He is willing and ready te set fire to an entire village in order to catch a few rodents. His motives are not pure. He is deliberately setting up the poor against the accomplished Nigerians who deserve maximum security, and can afford to pay the Nigeria Police VIP unit for a protection that is sadly lacking to all. It is never a crime to be successful. If TINUBU's intentions were genuine and holy, here's an opportunity to get the privileged class to fund massive recruitments of new officers from the legion of unemployed graduates and other less educated youths. No nation can afford to voluntarily expose its private and productive sectors to bandits and kidnappers. It is preposterously myopic and visionless. But TINUBU must play politics with everything. His rambunctious supporters have already crumbled the major political parties. Their next move is to ensure that the ATIKUs who can provide robust opposition to his ambition of a maximum rulership must be denied of security. Who will dare go out to campaign against him in this season of anomie. Knowing our man, the APC apparatchiks will be protected through backdoor... TINUBU is leading Nigeria to GOLGOTHA...

RENO OMOKRI & FEMI FANI-KAYODE: A TALE OF TWO SHAMELESS FRIENDS... I was going to ignore these two perpetual agents of perfidy but later decided to respond to them just in case they think they could bully me into 🔕 silence and submission. No. They can't. They both have no credibility whatsoever. Together, they've expressed the worst views ever about BOLA TINUBU that they will never be able to erase, or clean up, in a million years, except the world finally comes to an end. The only reason I could adduce for Tinubu's tolerance of both irritants is desperation and his inability to find better people to do the dirty jobs. The brains of these ones have been configured to say anything and delete immediately. I have never disparaged TINUBU in my life. I have never called him a murderer. I have never called him a drug baron or addict. I'm intelligent enough, not to say what I have no proof of. Only morons talk without thinking. I thank God for good upbringing. I do not fight like pigs. And I have a job and manage my modest income. I'm not seeking government appoints. I know how many times Femi and Reno have reached out to me, privately, either begging for publicity or apologizing for attacking me publicly. All I have accused Tinubu of is DICTATORSHIP and I stand by it with my full chest. I oppose tyranny because I once suffered under it. Chief Moshood Abiola won an election but dictatorship deprived him of his victory. Why should we replace military dictators with civilian slavemasters. That's my only grouse against TINUBU. Because of our past association, I have been partial and generous to him by not being as critical of him as I did to his predecessors. Because of TINUBU, I stopped writing my PENDULUM column on the backpge of Thisday and The Boss newspapers. Also, out of respect for Yoruba elder statesmen, including retired Generals who pleaded that we give him time to stabilize. They are alive to bear me witness. How Femi and Reno can continue to harass people on behalf of a TINUBU they've permanently damaged and sent to the cleaners really baffles me. But this is Nigeria... - AARE BASORUN AKINROGUN DELE MOMODU

Dear Mr President, ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, I'm writing my third letter to you in weeks, on the first day of what might turn out to be a long and torturous protest in the history of Nigeria. This is what I owe you. Be rest assured that I'm a man of modest income who is happy to live within his means and not looking for anything from you, other than good governance. You and I have a chequered history spanning decades and I have never lobbied you for appointments after we returned from exile in 1998, and you were Governor of Lagos State for eight years, and you've been in absolute control in the last 25 years. Sir, it has become pertinent to state this lest the deluge of blackmailers swarming all over you might think I'm one of them. My motive in writing you is absolutely pure. Now to the meat of this epistle... DID WE NOT ALERT THE GOVERNMENT ENOUGH? We were abused for advising the President of our country. Some power drunk leaders even threatened and boasted on television that ABUJA was a no-no for the protesters. But, today, the people marched majestically on the streets of FCT and the Emperors and their acolytes were nowhere to be found... I'm sure you saw what happened nationwide. It is a lesson of history that you and yours must learn. No leader should provoke the suffering people, flagrantly. I coninue to join other peace-loving Nigerians in appealing to the protesters to maintain peace at all costs. But your government should improve its terrible communication strategies. For whatever it's worth, you should have come out to address your fellow citizens. The feeling out there is that you've changed from the pro-democracy leader we used to know. A State of emergency won't solve the problems... The way forward would entail a huge sacrifice: the Federal government should downsize drastically, by sacking most of the deadwoods imported to Abuja from Lagos in the name of political appointments. Ministries should be merged for cheaper and more efficient operations. The outlandish profligacy of governments at all levels must stop. The States must replicate too. LET'S ALL AVERT WHAT MAY BECOME A REVOLUTION. I salute the doggedness of Nigerians. CHIEF DELE MOMODU
