AD: You guys know I love my walnuts, I try to eat a #healthyhandful every day. They keep me going when I am working through a busy day at the surgery. They are significant amounts of the plant-based essential omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid – our body cannot make this itself so needs to get it from our diet. As a vegetarian, walnuts provide me with my daily dose of plant omega three fatty acids, which I need for a health heart and brain. They are also an excellent source of protein which keeps my muscles and bones strong as well as support my immune system. Plus they are packed with fibre- this helps feed my beneficial gut bacteria which in turn keep me healthier. Plus, I love their creamy crunch taste.
