The total destruction by ISrael of the most important, 700 beds specialty hospital in Gaza, Al Shifa Medical Complex. It was established 78 years ago during the British Mandate, the name Shifa meaning 'The House of Healing'; now turned into a 'House of Death' by Israel and the US, burnt, totally destroyed to rubble and turned into a graveyard of patients, medical staff, relatives and refugees. A massive symbol of the heartless, cynical ISraeli politics of colonial occupation with the goal of elimination of the Palestinian people, their social institutions and their lives. Dr. Alaa and Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar’s home was targeted, 9 of their 10 children brutally killed, the surviving husband, and one child seriously wounded. Dr. Alaa received her killed children while at work in Nasser Hospital. Dr. Alaa is a paediatrician. She’s keeps working. The ISraeli army targets families, hospitals and health care workers in this murderous genocide.

The murderous IDF just bombed and killed three more of our dear colleagues in Gaza: Dr. Basel Mehdi (ObGyn), Dr. Hammam Ellouh (kidney specialist) and Dr. Raed Mahdi (ObGyn). The killing was in a private maternity clinic and at home. At least 20 other family members killed. We honor their courage and sumud. We deplore their coward killers. This is my first tweet on X, posted in Cairo with a clip from a taxi ride. The catastrophic disaster in Gaza deteriorates by the hour. The brutal massacre of Palestinian people must be stopped NOW! Everyone can do something. No one or nothing too small! You can change history: Do something! Do more! 'Neutrality' is not an option.
