🇫🇷 “Bismillah, c’est les ténèbres,” roughly translating to “In the name of God, its darkness,” has become a viral slogan at France’s student protests. The phrase originated in a bizarre Snapchat message allegedly sent by an undercover police officer posing as a student to infiltrate groups organizing school blockades. The message, awkwardly mixing Arabic expressions, French youth slang, and Algerian flag emojis was asking about protest plans. Students seized on the apparent attempt to imitate them, and have turned the phrase into a meme to mock suspected police infiltration and racial stereotyping. It now appears on protest signs and is chanted at demonstrations. Swedish activist Greta Thunberg also joined in, repeating the slogan during a visit to striking students at a high school outside Paris on October 13. The identity of the sender and police involvement remain unverified.

🚨 Israel strikes Iranian oil infrastructure in major escalation Israeli aircraft struck energy facilities around Tehran on Saturday, with Israeli Channel 14 reporting that about 30 large oil storage tanks at Iran’s largest refinery were targeted in one of the most significant escalations since the war began. Footage shows major fires at the Shahr-e Rey oil refinery south of Tehran, one of Iran’s largest refining complexes, and an explosion at the Fardis oil depot in Karaj, a city west of the capital. A source in Iran’s Oil Ministry told Fars News that three depots in Kouhak and Shahran in Tehran, as well as Karaj, were struck by Israeli fighter jets. 💢 BREAKING | Israeli settlers shoot dead a 14-year-old student and a 32-year-old man at a West Bank school, with Israeli forces providing protection Israeli settlers opened fire on Al-Mughair Boys School in the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, on Tuesday afternoon, killing a 14-year-old student, Aws Hamdi Al-Naasan, and a 32-year-old man, Jihad Marzouq Abu Naim, and wounding three others with live bullets, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA and the Ministry of Health. A paramedic at the scene said at least three settlers deliberately fired at children attempting to escape from classrooms from a position approximately 50 meters away, with a level of accuracy he described as close to sniping. An eyewitness said shooting was directed at classroom windows and balconies still full of children as residents attempted to evacuate the school by crawling. Israeli forces arrived during the attack and, according to witnesses, provided protection to the settlers rather than stopping them. A 63-year-old man, Attallah Abu Aliya, said he was shot in the leg by an Israeli soldier without warning as he walked toward the school after hearing it was under attack. Their deaths bring the West Bank toll to four killed on Tuesday alone, after a 16-year-old boy was run over by a settler's vehicle in Hebron and a 49-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in an Israeli army shooting in Jenin.

🚨BREAKING: Palestinian-American Child Shot Dead, Two Others Shot and Wounded by Israeli Forces in Occupied West Bank Omar Mohammad Rabea, a 14-year-old Palestinian with U.S. citizenship, was shot and killed on Sunday by Israeli forces near the West Bank town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah. Two other Palestinian-American boys, aged 14 and 15, were also shot and wounded—one in the abdomen, the other in the thigh. Both were taken to a nearby clinic in the village of Abu Falah, PRCS told reporters. The Israeli military acknowledged that its forces opened fire on three children who were standing near a road adjacent to the town. A video released by the military shows the teenagers appearing to throw an object. In a statement, the military claimed it had “identified three terrorists who were throwing rocks at a highway with civilian vehicles,” and that Israeli “fighters fired at the terrorists, killing one and wounding the other two.” The military reportedly seized Omar’s body from the hospital and is still withholding it. WAFA also reports that Israeli forces delayed ambulance crews from reaching the scene. The killing comes amid a sharp rise in settler and military violence across the West Bank. While the Biden administration had previously sanctioned a handful of violent settlers, those sanctions were rescinded by the Trump administration, which also recently approved the sale of over 20,000 U.S.-made assault rifles to Israel—a $24 million deal previously delayed over concerns the weapons could be used by extremist settlers. The shooting took place a day after Palestinian Children’s Day. Ramallah and al-Bireh Governor Laila Ghannam said the targeting of the three children reflects an ongoing pattern and policy of Israeli state terror—killing Palestinian children and attempting to eradicate the Palestinian people. More than 200 children have been killed in the West Bank since October 2023. And in Gaza, Israel has killed more than 500 children in 20 days since resuming its genocidal assault on March 18, 2025. Video 1: Footage of Rabea’s body transferred by the PRCS (via Al Qastal). Video 2: Israeli military video shared at צבא ההגנה לישראל (link in reply)

🇬🇧 Activists with People Against Genocide blocked the only entrance to TT Electronics' factory in Rochdale, near Manchester, England, on Monday. They said the factory makes essential components for Israel's F-35 warplanes and for drones built by Elbit Systems, Israel's largest weapons maker. When Britain suspended some arms licences to Israel in 2024, citing "a clear risk" of violations of international humanitarian law, it exempted F-35 parts. The group People Against Genocide, which aims to drive Elbit out of Britain, has also targeted Elbit suppliers, insurers and HSBC branches. Its tactics mirror those of Palestine Action, which Britain banned as a “terrorist” group in July 2025. Thousands have since been arrested for showing support for the group. The group said both activists were arrested. Videos by The Aftershock below.

💢 NEW: Israel Bombs Gaza, Kills Palestinians Hours After Trump Declares “Historic Breakthrough” Within hours of President Donald Trump announcing a new agreement, new Israeli bombings and gunfire attacks killed at least one Palestinian and wounded several others in Gaza, medical authorities told outlets. Gaza relief coordinator Eyad Amawi told Drop Site News that Israeli forces also ordered the forced displacement of whole residential blocks in two different locations, in Deir al-Balah and Nuseirat refugee camp. The orders violate the original ceasefire, as well as the newly agreed deal, and forced hundreds of Palestinians, including families with young children, to flee again in the middle of the night with nowhere to go. Hundreds are sleeping in the streets, Amawi told Drop Site. The forced evacuations are part of Israel’s continued advance beyond the original ceasefire line. Under the watch of the U.S. President and his U.N.-backed Board of Peace, Israel has expanded its “Yellow Line” (marking the territory it controls in Gaza), from roughly 53% to around 70%, without either challenging the illegal advance. Hamas said Friday that the first step toward implementing the agreement must be an Israeli commitment “to stopping the killing and ending its attacks.” A senior Israeli official immediately said there would be “no withdrawal whatsoever” from the current Yellow Line unless Hamas undergoes what Israel considers “genuine disarmament.” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has not publicly said whether he accepts President Trump’s deal, which requires Israel to halt its attacks, finally allow adequate food, water, shelter and fuel into besieged Gaza, and withdraw first to the original ceasefire line, and then from all of Gaza.

No interception attempts were visible in footage of that strike. ➤ Earlier today, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) published video showing the launch of Kheibar (Khorramshahr-4) ballistic missiles toward Israel. It is not immediately clear whether the missiles seen in the Tel Aviv strike footage were from that system. It was not immediately clear whether any settlers were injured or killed in the attacks.

🚨 “He was blown to pieces right before my eyes. His schoolbag was still on his shoulder.” Israeli forces killed 14-year-old Palestinian student Mohammed Abu Hammad in a drone strike on Al-Baraka Street, south of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza shortly after he returned from school. Mohammed had stopped at his father's shop to look after it while his father ran an errand. “He hadn't even been sitting in the chair for five minutes,” Ahmed Muhareb told Drop Site's Mohamed Ahmed. “They fired a missile at the boy, while his schoolbag was still on his back.” At the hospital, people held up Mohammed's bloodstained schoolbag and notebooks, pointing to the shrapnel that had pierced them. His father wept over his son's body. “I swear, I was just talking to him,” he cried. “Mohammed was the one I depended on.” “This is a child. What did he do wrong?” Mohammed's sister, Malak Abu Hammad, said. Questioning the ceasefire, she asked, “Do they even know God, to be talking about a ceasefire?” “Is it not enough that you've forced us to live in tents? You've forced us to live in hunger and poverty. Why are you killing us?” Muhareb asked. Several other students were wounded in the attack, which also killed another Palestinian, the Palestinian Ministry of Education said. At least six Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since Saturday morning. 🎥 Mohamed Ahmed
