Bending was a martial art affected by one's spiritual understanding and body movements. If they wanted Bolin to be a Lavabender they could've given him a whole arc going into his mothers Fire Nation culture to feel close to them and through training in their movements develop lava Bending after seeing their commonality with the movements from the Red lotus Lava bender. Look into who He was Learn who he was and see the similarities between them (being mixed nations, lost of family) and creating a form of Rivalry/mentorship with him... giving more to a Red lotus member because besides Zaheer, they were all one note and lame. And not only give weight to when Bolin learns to Lavabend, but make it feel earned. Plus, going deep into the shows themes ot the elemental nations being united. You know, do something with the damn characters.

In the CW cartoon, there was one Hutt who could speak English... But the show makes it clear that he's not only the black sheep of the clan but the whole species because Hutts believe themselves above all other races and their ways. This guy was a love struck race traitor dumbass whose hoe sold him out to his family that he betrayed for her. The movie is just horseshit.

Very openly because it actually makes sense. There's build up to it. The 3rd movie gave him his own lab and the fact that he was invited to Starl's funeral says that he's kept in touch and was getting mentored at best by him, so him being Iron Lad or something makes sense.

No, what they meant is that in the original series, Bending felt like a martial art... no elements had the exact same move for the exact same. It had layers of creativity and thought. Meanwhile, LoK only has punching and kicking, no art, no grace, no true moves, it's all lazy.

Another great example of the MCU ruining a character. Not only is Loki supposed to be irredeemable evil, but he's not just knives... he is a master of the Mystique arts, especially illusions... he doesn't even need an army as he alone is a nightmare to face as reality itself is his weapon. Plus, he isn't just brains. He's was raised a NORSE AESER GOD. He can fight with the best of them head-on. HE IS NOT A JOKE CHARACTER!

This is honestly one of my favorite explanations of how magic works and why it's not openly available in the universe. The metaphor of the wall as a psychological barrier we humans as creatures of logic put up on ourselves as we even with it before us can not accept it as real. Sorcerers are the rare few who are not slaves bound to the laws of logic and science. Heck, it took Stephen hell to even just be a beginner, and it all felt earned... truly beautiful in a way.

Emh is probably the only and last time we had an accurate classic depiction of the Guardians, before the James Gunning of them putting them forever in the dysfunctional assholes bin with everything else he's made because it's all he knows. He made the Nova Corp lame as hell with no badass heroes flying around the galaxy ala Green Lantern. He ruined Warlock and Drax, who were way deeper and spiritual characters in the comics just to make them into another joke. All the prick can do is jokes. He can never take anything seriously while also fun.

Every lantern has proven that they have a heart of gold that makes them worthy of the green, even Guy. Guy may be a bastard, but he'll be the first in line to give his life to save another. Yes, they can get corrupted down the line, but still... they're meant to be heroes.
