We took the old girls south today on our long drive to stockpile at the south farm. Our county sheriff is great. We had US 20 blocked for about 1 minute and 20 seconds. Very smooth.

Prove me wrong….. Taking one percent of farmland to produce electricity does not make a dent in the oversupply of corn in the US. One percent of farmland in solar makes a huge dent in our electricity needs as a nation. Controversial statement in rural America.

We had an old fashioned sheep drive this morning. The county sheriff deputies showed up and we drove them right across US 20. The dogs balked but the sheep cooperated perfectly!

-6 Fahrenheit last night. North East Indiana. 1980’s Belarus Tractor. Not plugged in cause block heater quit. Not under roof. Hit the glow plugs for fifteen seconds and she popped off. Started better than the Isuzu box truck this morning.

Solar could be returned to cropland in thirty years if constructed correctly. Look at the site we graze. Remove the panels and pull the I-beams. No concrete at all on this site. Much easier than when the forest was cleared.
