Here is what Happened: Bionca Ellis steals two kitchen knives from a Volunteers of America Thrift Store near a Giant Eagle in North Olmsted, Ohio. She enters the Giant Eagle, spots 3-year-old Julian Wood and his mother, Margot Wood, and follows them to the parking lot. Ellis stabs Julian multiple times in the face and back while he’s in a shopping cart. Margot is stabbed in the shoulder while trying to protect him. The attack lasts less than five seconds. Police arrest Ellis nearby on Dover Center Road, still holding the knife. The attack is described as random, with no prior connection to the victims. Julian and Margot are rushed to St. John Medical Center. Julian dies from his injuries; Margot survives with non-life-threatening injuries.
