Happy 100th birthday to Kentucky's favorite soft drink, Ale-8-One.

Kentucky's constitution says no public dollars to nonpublic schools unless there's a vote from the people. I put my hand on the Bible when I swore to uphold our constitution and listen to our people – and that's an oath I've kept.

Walking into this office every day is the honor of a lifetime. We love you, Kentucky.

Kentucky is losing quality teachers. We can't remain competitive because we rank 44th nationwide for starting teacher pay. And without teachers to lead our classrooms, our children are falling behind. Our teachers, school staff and children deserve better.

Public dollars are for public schools. Period.

Experts anticipated a budget shortfall, but thanks to strong fiscal management by my administration, revenues came in $320 million over budget, securing our seventh straight surplus.

When you go to Target for one thing and somehow leave with a full cart ... Frankfort is excited and ready for this well-known experience as we welcome Target's largest Kentucky location to our community, along with all the good jobs coming with it. Congrats, everyone!

Cancer screenings can save lives. I was proud to share the Kentucky Women’s Cancer Screening Program is receiving a 22% increase in federal funding. This program provides free breast and cervical cancer screenings and services to those who qualify. More:

Unemployment is down in all 120 counties. That's great news, because it means more Kentuckians are bringing home a good paycheck to support their family. And there is nothing more important than that.

Kentucky, I’ve declared a state of emergency due to widespread flooding across the state. Heavy rainfall is expected to continue through 11 p.m. EDT tonight, so we need folks to remain alert and avoid driving after dark due to high water.

Frankfort was proud to welcome Target's largest location to their New Kentucky Home. This store will be the central spot of the new $150 million Paddocks development, which supports more than 1,000 jobs for Kentuckians and drive continued growth for the Franklin County community.

Kentucky is one of only a few states that require teenagers be 16 for their learner's permit. House Bill 15 will change that age to 15. I signed this bill knowing it will help working families better juggle all of life's activities. I may have gotten pressure from Will and Lila.
