I met a woman in central Kansas whose family is paying over $2,000 a month for health insurance. The bottom line: they couldn’t afford it. Decisions coming out of Washington are making life more difficult for Kansans. We need a government that stands up for what’s right and speaks out against the wrongs.

For 36 years as a pastor, I've sought to listen to people — to genuinely listen and care, to understand their needs and concerns, to offer compassion, kindness, and love. I'm not naive. Kindness and compassion alone aren't going to solve all of this. We also need the courage to stand up for what's right — to speak up against the wrongs we see in our society, to fight for our freedoms, and to restore a functional government in this American experiment. That's what this campaign is about. I hope you'll join me.
