Draft officers in Lviv figured, why waste a perfectly good traffic jam? Might as well yank some guy out of his car. Mobilization quota: one step closer. Daily workout: done. Now that’s efficiency

Putin: “We want to ensure long-term, lasting peace in Ukraine and in Europe.” Again and again, Putin makes the same point: a ceasefire in the air, in the Black Sea, or anywhere else — just like freezing the current front line — is not enough for Moscow. The Kremlin remembers the Minsk agreements and the political games surrounding them. Angela Merkel later acknowledged that Minsk had given Ukraine valuable time to become stronger. From Moscow’s perspective, the lesson could hardly be clearer: another pause that merely buys time for rearmament is not peace. It is an intermission before the next war. What Putin is talking about is not another tactical timeout. It is a fundamentally different security architecture — part of the broader shift toward a multipolar world. It means ending Ukraine’s transformation into a militarized Western outpost and a platform for a proxy confrontation with Russia. Lasting peace means the West taking Russia’s security concerns seriously instead of sneering at them, dismissing them, or pretending they do not exist. Lasting peace means addressing the causes of the conflict rather than freezing its symptoms. And, above all, lasting peace means a Ukraine that is no longer constructed as an “anti-Russia” project.

“I believe we will build a Ukrainian state that will defend Europe and the entire civilized world. Glory to the Nation!” Says a deputy to Andriy Biletsky, the Azov founder, at the graduation ceremony for a school training propagandists for the Third Army Corps. So, to recap: neo-Nazis and extremists building a Führer-style organization, glorifying Bandera and Shukhevych, and drawing ideological inspiration from the legacy of the OUN and UPA — organizations associated with collaboration with Nazi Germany in the Holocaust and the mass killing of Poles and "bad Ukrainians" — now see themselves as Europe’s future defenders. Hear that, Poland? Relax. Your protectors have arrived! Though at this rate, Europe may soon find itself wondering who exactly it needs protection from: its enemies, or heavily armed extremists hardened by years of war, equipped with some of NATO’s finest toys, and convinced of Ukrainian ethnic superiority. History, apparently, has developed a taste for very dark comedy.

Lviv. Busification. This is how men are rounded up and sent to war to fight and die for the interests of the corrupt political elites. Shame on you, EU, for denying protection to those men who are trying to escape this fate.

The safari for Ukrainian men of draft age continues. The younger the man, the more valuable the “human resource” for the war for “freedom and democracy.” Kovel, Ukraine.

Kyiv, May 16, 2026. A concert by Boombox. But remember: holding presidential elections during wartime is too dangerous due to large crowds. Zelensky is doing everything for the security of its people🙏

Ukraine’s western border has entered its traditional post-holiday mode: total collapse. After Christmas dinners and New Year hangovers, tens of thousands are heading back to Europe to receive social benefits, wave Ukrainian flags, and demand more money and weapons for Ukraine😅

Today in Moscow they buried the Russian neo-Nazi Stanislav “the Spaniard” Orlov, the founder of the neo-Nazi unit “Española.” It is known for certain that he did not die in combat on the frontline. According to one version, he may have been shot at his own dacha near Sevastopol for involvement in arms trafficking. Who killed the Spaniard, and why? Do I have any experts among my followers on FSB infighting, organized crime, or the Russian far-right? Please comment.

In Lviv, a major confrontation has erupted involving Ukraine's Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC). Hundreds of people gathered to defend a man who was being forcibly conscripted by draft officers. Chanting "Shame!", the crowd confronted the draft officers, and in the ensuing unrest, protesters overturned a TRC vehicle.

"Bandera will come and restore order!" (Bandera pryide - poriadok navede) chanted participants of a march in Lviv today. It’s an old slogan — one that voices a long-standing nationalist fantasy of a military junta led by a far-right strongman, very much à la Adolf Hitler. In these fantasies, the same people always picture themselves as the executioners, never the executed. Funny thing about dictatorships, though — reality has a habit of improvising. And it doesn’t always follow the casting.

Champion Usyk knocked out 🇺🇦 decolonization with a single punch by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas today, on January 7 🫣 Meanwhile, nationally conscious Ukrainians have long been celebrating Jesus’ birthday with the "whole civilized world", not on the Kremlin’s calendar.
