It’s an old slogan — one that voices a long-standing nationalist fantasy of a military junta led by a far-right strongman, very much à la Adolf Hitler. In these fantasies, the same people always picture themselves as the executioners, never the executed. Funny thing about dictatorships, though — reality has a habit of improvising. And it doesn’t always follow the casting.
