📹#bcpoli — Premier David Eby says the DRIPA ruling shows “confusion” and that he might amend the law. The only confusion is his own. As Attorney General, Eby inserted s. 8.1 in the Interpretation Act in the middle of the atmospheric-river emergency, refused to answer the core land-use question about its effect, and let Mike Farnworth — then the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, who above anyone should have known better — walk in from an emergency briefing and kill debate with closure. The Court has now confirmed the sweeping reach of the very tool they forced through under crisis cover. This isn’t confusion. It’s misconduct. They both need to resign.
