Tucker Carlson thinks that Muslims were very kind toward Christians during the Ottoman period, and for that reason, I would like to explain to you how kind they were. For 300 years the Ottoman Turks were stealing kids from their mothers. This was the most brutal thing humanity ever witnessed. They were waiting for women to birth, raise their kids, and then at the age of 8 were collecting them. The devşirme known as "collection of children" or "blood tax" or in Greek as "paidomazoma", was a systematic practice by the Ottoman Empire from the late 14th century until the mid-17th century, that forced the recruitment of young Christian boys, typically aged 8–18, from Balkan provinces as a form of tribute ("blood tax"). They were taken from their families, converted to Islam, and rigorously trained to serve in the empire's military, administrative, and bureaucratic roles. This created a loyal class of elite soldiers and officials who were dependent on the sultan rather than on hereditary Turkish aristocracy. Many became Janissaries, the empire's elite infantry corps, or rose to high positions like grand viziers, provincial governors, admirals, or financial bureaucrats. Estimates suggest tens of thousands of boys were recruited annually at its peak in the 15th–16th centuries. Historians estimate the total number of Christian boys taken across the entire Ottoman Empire around 300.000 kids. From those kids 150.000 were Greek kids (over 300 years). It means the half of the total kids that were stolen were only Greek. For example in 1540, a levy in the Greek regions of Thessaly & Macedonia took 1.000 Greek boys in one season and in Chios (the Greek island) 200 boys taken in 1567 alone. The peak was 5.000 kids/annual from Greece. A generational trauma, with thousands of Greek families losing sons every few years for centuries. The system began under Sultan Murad I (1362–1389) and largely ended by 1648, as Muslims were increasingly allowed to fill these roles and Janissary corruption grew. After the fall of Constantinople in 1453, Ottoman control extended over most Greek lands, making Greek Orthodox families prime targets for recruitment. The practice targeted rural communities disproportionately, as urban or strategically important groups were often exempt. On 28 February 1395, Archbishop Isidore Glabas of Thessaloniki denounced it in a speech as "paidomazoma" (child-gathering), describing the anguish of parents: mothers scratching their cheeks in grief and fathers beating their breasts and the violent Islamization of children and their hard training in the use of dogs and falcons. A 1550 Greek poem by Ioannes Axayiolis, appealed to Charles V of Germany to liberate the Christians from the Turks (for liberation from this "sorrow"). The text is found in the Codex Vaticanus Graecus of 1624. In another account, the Roman Catholic bishop of Chios in 1646 writes to the director of the Catholic Greek Gymnasion of Rome asking the latter to accept Paulos Omeros (lol my name Pavlos Homeros), a 12-year-old boy from Chios, to save him from the devshirme. Once taken, boys were circumcised, renamed with Muslim names, and forbidden from contact with their families. They were raised as Muslims, effectively erasing their Greek cultural and religious identity to foster loyalty to the sultan. Historical records show Greek-origin devşirme boys rising to prominence, such as Mimar Sinan (chief architect of the Ottomans, possibly Greek) and several grand viziers like Ibrahim Edhem Pasha (from Chios). The system accelerated Islamization in Greek regions, reducing Christian populations and creating a class of "Greek Muslims" (for example in Pontus or Crete). It fueled revolts and the Greek War of Independence (1821), where devşirme grievances were invoked. During the Ottoman period, Muslims enjoyed performing all kinds of mutilations. Ears, noses, lips, tongues, breasts, and genitals were primarily cut off. Not just those, though. Let's recall here the Saint Raphael of Mytilene, who was hanged from a tree and had his lower jaw cut off, while the twelve-year-old martyr Irene was roasted in a barrel on the Tuesday of Easter in the year 1463, ten years after the fall of Constantinople. In many cases, the severed body parts "adorned" the warrior collection of the janissary. The pashas gave bakshish (tips) to every "brave" Muslim warrior according to how many ears of "infidel" Christians he brought back. He himself confirmed his bravery and "manliness" among his peers by having a "komboloi" (worry beads) made from the nipples of breasts he had cut off from women. The bravest man was the one with the longest komboloi after a massacre and looting. Blinding with various sharp objects was also common. This was particularly frequent during periods of massacres and atrocities. Many unfortunate Christians remained blind for the rest of their lives because they had the misfortune of a horde of janissaries passing through their land. The Egyptians under Ibrahim Pasha were especially notorious for this crime. Many times Christian captives were placed in front of cannons that were fired, turning them into human shreds of flesh. In other cases, they were tied to galleys that sailed in opposite directions and were torn apart. Dismemberment of victims also occurred with horses. Indeed, Islam was very kind toward Christians during the Ottoman period. In Greece, the denial or public endorsement of the Genocide of the Greek Christians of Pontus, Asia Minor, and Anatolia by the Turkish Muslims is criminally prosecuted and constitutes an offense. We won't forget the anti-Greek and Islamic propaganda that Tucker Carlson pushed through his podcast.

Fall of Constantinople was significant. Greeks asked for help to defend the West but no one answered the call. After the fall, Greece was plunged into darkness. For 370 years, Ottomans, British, French & Germans exploited Greece in atrocious ways Now Europe is in darkness. Karma

Achilles’ lament for his friend Patroclus is described by Homer in a unique way. Of course, the movie didn’t show it. So here is what actually happened: Patroclus' body was burned on a great pyre, and his ashes were placed in an urn that was given to Achilles to keep in his tent. Achilles even requested that when he himself died, Patroclus' ashes be mixed with his own remains so that the two friends would be buried together for eternity. The ceremonies ended with funeral games in honor of the dead. In these, Achilles offered many and valuable prizes as the organizer. In the end, he even declared Agamemnon the winner in the spear fight. Briseis, in her lament over Patroclus' body, weeps as she remembers him and mentions that he was so kind while alive that he told her he would make her the lawful wife of Achilles and bring her to Phthia. In the Iliad, Book 19 (T), lines 295-300 we read: "You alone would not let me weep, and you used to say that you would make me the lawful wife of Achilles, and bring me to Phthia to celebrate the wedding among the Myrmidons who dwell there; for this kindness of yours I weep for you so bitterly." Achilles mourns and says that he hoped he alone would be killed in Troy and that Patroclus would return to Phthia and bring his son Neoptolemus to Phthia to show him the servants and the palace. Clearly, therefore, Achilles intended Patroclus to be the guardian of his child. In the Iliad, Book 19 (T), lines 315-330 we read: "Once, hapless one, you too, dear friend of my heart, would quickly and properly prepare a meal here, when the Achaeans were eager to bring much-lamented Ares against the horse-taming Trojans; now you lie dead, and the longing for you does not let me eat or drink, for I could not suffer a worse evil even if I heard that my old father had died, who is wasting away in Phthia with tears, missing such a son, while I remain far away, fighting the Trojans in a foreign land because of hated Helen; or that child of mine who is being raised in Scyros, the godlike Neoptolemus, if he still lives. I had another hope deep in my soul, that I alone would perish far from horse-breeding Argos here in Troy, and that you would return to Phthia and bring the child from Scyros in the ship and lead him with you and show him everything, my possessions, my servants, and the high palace." Friendship in Greece was a sacred institution protected by "Zeus Philios" (Zeus of Friendship). These two heroes were companions, fellow warriors, dear friends, and relatives.

Odysseus with the Greeks came swiftly to the cave, but the giant was not inside. He was away herding his fat sheep on the pastures. Entering the vast cavern, they gazed in wonder: baskets groaning with cheeses, pens packed with lambs and kids, all carefully separated, the firstborn, the later-born, and the newborn lambs. Every vessel brimmed with whey: pails and bowls, finely crafted, ready for milking. Odysseus’s companions begged him: take the cheeses, seize the lambs and kids, and flee back to the swift ship. But he refused. He wanted to meet the owner and see if he would offer guest-gifts. They lit a fire, sacrificed, and feasted on cheese while they waited. Soon the Cyclops returned, carrying an enormous bundle of dry wood that crashed to the ground like thunder. The men shrank back in terror into the depths of the cave. The giant drove his fat flocks inside, milked the ewes and goats in perfect order, curdled half the milk into baskets and stored the rest. Then he kindled the fire, looked around, and saw the strangers. "Ὦ ξεῖνοι, τίνες ἐστέ; πόθεν πλεῖθ᾽ ὑγρὰ κέλευθα;" "O strangers, who are you? From where do you sail the watery paths?" He asked whether they came on business or wandered like pirates. Odysseus answered with respect, telling him they were Greeks returning from Troy, men of Agamemnon, and begged for the hospitality that Zeus, protector of guests, commands. The Cyclops replied with a cruel heart: He cared nothing for Zeus or the gods. He was stronger than them. Then, without warning, he snatched two of Odysseus’s men, dashed them to the ground like puppies, and devoured them, flesh, entrails, and marrow, like a mountain lion. The others wept and lifted their hands to Zeus in horror. The next morning the Cyclops ate two more men for breakfast, then drove his flocks out, sealing the cave with the massive stone that no mortal force could move. Odysseus remained behind, plotting revenge. In the cave lay a huge olive-wood club. Odysseus and his men cut it down, sharpened it, and hardened its point in the fire. They hid it under the dung. That evening, when the Cyclops returned and ate two more men, Odysseus offered him a bowl of the strong, sweet wine they had brought from Ismarus. "Κύκλωψ, τῆ, πίε οἶνον..." "Cyclop, here, drink this wine" The giant drank eagerly. Three times Odysseus filled the bowl, and three times the Cyclops drained it in his folly. When the wine had clouded his mind, he asked for Odysseus’s name, promising a guest-gift. Odysseus answers: "Οὖτις ἐμοί γ᾽ ὄνομα· Οὖτιν δέ με κικλήσκουσι μήτηρ ἠδὲ πατὴρ ἠδ᾽ ἄλλοι πάντες ἑταῖροι." "Nobody is my name. Nobody do my mother and father and all my comrades call me." The Cyclops roared with laughter: "Then Nobody I shall eat last, after all the others!" He fell back drunk, vomiting wine and pieces of human flesh. Odysseus and his chosen four men heated the great stake in the fire until it glowed. They drove the burning point deep into the Cyclops’s single eye, twisting it like a shipwright bores a plank. The giant screamed in agony as the eye hissed and burned. He cried out to the other Cyclopes: "Nobody is killing me by trick, not by force!" They answered: "If no one harms you, then it must be sickness from Zeus. Pray to your father Poseidon." And they left. In the morning, the blinded Cyclops rolled away the stone and sat at the entrance, feeling each sheep as it passed, hoping to catch the men. But Odysseus had tied his comrades under the bellies of the great rams, three sheep to each man. He himself clung beneath the finest ram of all. The giant stroked the great ram last and complained that it was leaving last today. "Do you grieve for your master’s eye, which that wicked Nobody blinded?" He let the ram go. Once safely outside, Odysseus and his men untied themselves, drove the flocks to the ship, and sailed away. But Odysseus could not resist one last taunt. From the sea he shouted back: "Κύκλωψ, οὐκ ἄρ᾽ ἔμελλες ἀνάλκιδος ἀνδρὸς ἑταίρους ἔδμεναι..." "Cyclop! You were not destined to eat the comrades of a weak man! Now Zeus and the gods have punished you for devouring your guests!" In rage the Cyclops tore off the peak of a mountain and hurled it toward the ship. The wave nearly drove them back to shore. Odysseus’s men begged him to stop, but he shouted his true name: "φάσθαι Ὀδυσσῆα πτολιπόρθιον ἐξαλαῶσαι, υἱὸν Λαέρτεω, Ἰθάκῃ ἔνι οἰκί᾽ ἔχοντα." "Tell them it was Odysseus, sacker of cities, son of Laertes, who blinded you!" The blinded giant prayed to Poseidon, his father, to curse Odysseus, that he should come home late, alone, on a foreign ship, having lost all his companions, and find troubles in his house. Thus they escaped the cave of Polyphemus, but the wrath of the Earth-shaker had only just begun.

Agamemnon had provoked the wrath of the goddess Artemis by killing her sacred deer, resulting in the goddess causing a calm sea so that the fleet of the Achaeans could not sail from Aulis to Troy. They asked the seer Calchas what they should do, and he replied that the goddess's wrath would only subside if Agamemnon sacrificed his daughter Iphigenia. Initially, Agamemnon refused to do it, but he was pressured by Menelaus and Odysseus, and as the months passed, he summoned his daughter from Mycenae under the pretext that he would arrange her marriage to Achilles. Iphigenia arrived at Aulis, and then Agamemnon handed her over to Calchas to sacrifice her to Artemis. The scene in the video is from the Greek film "Iphigenia" of 1977 by Michael Cacoyannis. The entire film and its dialogues were exclusively based on the work of Euripides without any additional exaggerations or nonsense. The ancient text writes: IPHIGENIA: "Look, mother, how rightly I speak; upon me great Greece casts its eyes; from me depend the sailing of the ships and the destruction of the Phrygians; from me, the prevention of future barbarian attempts to abduct women from wealthy Greece henceforth, the payment for the abduction of Helen, whom Paris has stolen. Such is the salvation my death brings, and immortal fame I shall have; they will say I liberated Greece. And it does not befit me to be so fond of life; you bore me for the good of all Greeks and not for yourself alone. Thousands of shield-bearers, thousands of oarsmen, seeing their homeland wronged, will strike boldly at the enemies, and will die for Greece’s honor, and shall all this be hindered by one life, mine? Where is the justice in that? How could I oppose them? And another thing: for a stranger to enter war with all the Argives and die for one woman is unjust. The life of one man is more valuable than that of ten thousand women. And if Artemis wishes to take my body, shall I, a mortal, become an obstacle to the goddess? How could that be? I give my body to Greece; come, sacrifice me, take Ilion. These things will be my memorials for years to come: my marriage, my children, and my glory. It is right for Greeks to rule over barbarians, and not barbarians over Greeks; because barbarians are slaves, and Greeks are free." ACHILLES: "Some god would have made me blessed, if I were to take you, daughter of Agamemnon. Fortunate is Greece, which has you, fortunate are you, being Greek. You spoke well and in a manner worthy of your homeland; you do not wage war against the goddess who rules you; your mind turned both to reason and to fate. I saw your character, and thus my desire to unite with you is even greater; for you are a noble soul. And consider this: I want to help you and make you my wife; it will be a great burden for me, I swear by Thetis, if I do not fight the Argives to save you. A terrible evil is death, know that." IPHIGENIA: "I speak clearly before everyone. Helen ignites battles, and blood flows for her body; let her suffice; you, stranger, do not get killed for me and do not kill; and let me, if I can, save Greece." Source: Ἰφιγένεια ἡ ἐν Αὐλίδι (1402-1432) "Iphigenia at Aulis" was written by Euripides, which was performed in the year 405 BC, one year after the death of Euripides in 406 BC, by his son. It was written in the year 407 BC during the poet’s stay at the court of King Archelaus in Macedonia. It formed one part of a trilogy, along with the works "The Bacchae" and "Alcmaeon in Corinth", which won first prize. Amid all this, this text is yet another proof that the Greeks always knew where the limits (borders) of Greece reached and who belongs within them as well as who is Greek. Films based on the works of the Greeks promote patriotism, heroism, glory, and emphasize that everything revolves around the nation (έθνος) and religion (θρησκεία), around values and sacrifices for your country and your people. Modern society is afraid of these films. Those who control the "arts" hate them. Do you know why?

Odysseus was away from his home for 20 years, ten years fighting in the Trojan War and ten more years struggling at sea before being "washed ashore" in Ithaca, at his home. After everything he endured, he returned to Ithaca alone, aged, weary, burdened with suffering and sorrow, and unrecognizable to everyone. Dressed in rags so no one would recognize him, he was accompanied by Eumaeus, the swineherd, who also did not recognize him. As they approached the palace, Odysseus saw Argos, his beloved dog and friend who had missed him during his time in Ilion (Troy), now in a very miserable state. Homer describes Argos as covered in ticks, neglected, lying still as if waiting for something - his death - but not quite ready yet. A brief conversation takes place over Argos between Odysseus and Eumaeus, after which Odysseus enters the hall with the suitors. Now, Argos is ready to die. He can finally take his last breath, as the moment he had waited for over 20 years had arrived, he saw his best friend one last time. His longing and hope for the return of his master had kept him alive for 20 whole years. Only Argos recognized him! The hero Odysseus, deeply moved, could not hold back a tear, which he secretly wiped away so that Eumaeus wouldn’t see it and suspect something. (“νόσφιν απομόρξατο δάκρυ” “he secretly wiped away his tear.”) Homer writes: Rhapsody ρ, Line 290 Thus they were speaking to each other, But the dog, lying down, lifted his head and ears; Argos, Odysseus’ faithful dog, whom he once raised but never got to enjoy, as Odysseus left early for sacred Ilion (Troy). 295. ...lying in a pile of dung spilled in front of the gates by mules and cattle, which the servants took to fertilize Odysseus' estate. 300. There Argos lay, full of ticks. The moment he sensed Odysseus near him, he wagged his tail and lowered both ears, but he couldn’t get up to reach him. Odysseus saw him from afar and secretly wiped away his tear so Eumaeus wouldn’t notice, and then he asked him: 305. “A wonder, this dog, Eumaeus, lying in the manure. He is good in body, but I’m not sure if he’s as swift as he is beautiful, or if he’s one of those table-fed dogs of men, kept only as an ornament by lords.” 325. As he said this, he entered the well-built house and went straight into the hall with the shining suitors. And the fate of black death seized Argos, immediately after he saw Odysseus for the first time in twenty years ... ----- Homer Pavlos✍️

Emily Wilson is a kind of a feminist that is truly a bad person that wants to hurt you. Not directly, but in depth, through her profession as a classicist. She is attacking my culture and the Greeks because she hates virtues. She is blatantly lying because most of you don't know to read Greek. But I am Greek and I can read both modern and ancient Greek. So let me tell you why she is purposely lying. The references with insulting epithets toward the servant/slave women who betrayed Odysseus’s house and slept with the suitors are numerous. The most common ones, however, are "bitches" and "shameless" that were serious insults. Most foreigners translated the word "bitch" as "slut" which is correct to say that this is wrong because it's not what the text writes but in a sense of "non-literal translation" it's not out of context because those women who slept with the suitors and betrayed Penelope were "shameless bitches". Especially the word "shameless" is a strong insult in Greek. It implies sexual shamelessness lack of decency, and moral boldness and this is why foreign translators are using the word "sluts" in English. But Homer doesn't use the Greek word directly to call them "whores". The following translations I will use are made directly from the ancient Greek text into modern Greek. We Greeks do not read foreign translations. What we call an adaptation (απόδοση) from ancient to modern Greek is not considered a "translation" for us, since it is the same language. In other words an adaptation of a Greek text bridges the gap between ancient or dialectic Greek and the modern target audience. 1. Odysseus to a servant woman (Book 18, line 340): "Bitch, if I go and immediately repeat your wretched words to Telemachus, he will tear you to pieces, you’ll be smashed into bits." Penelope to Melantho (the servant who slept with Eurymachus and betrayed them), when Melantho spoke rudely to Odysseus (who was still disguised) (Book 19, line 91): "Nevertheless, you bold, shameless bitch, you do not escape my notice at all, doing a great deed which you will wipe off on your own head." [πάντως, θαρσαλέη, κύον ἀδεές (=fearless bitch), οὔ τί με λήθεις ἔρδουσα μέγα ἔργον, ὃ σῇ κεφαλῇ ἀναμάξεις] 3. "Perhaps in foreign lands too, some servant women insult him, every time he enters a famous lord’s house, just like these bitches here who all together insult you, stranger. I imagine that to avoid their reproach, their shamelessness…" (Book 19, around line 370) 4. "Servant women shamelessly dragging themselves here and there." (Book 20, line 318) 5. "Twelve of them appeared completely shameless, who had no regard for me and showed no respect to Penelope." (Book 22, line 422) Emily Wilson cannot tolerate any criticism of the women who betrayed the man Odysseus and slept like shameless bitches with the enemy, betraying Penelope. In her worldview, men are always the bad guys, and only women are the heroines. She herself calls the academic translators misogynists. It is inconceivable that there are today "eunuch" academics who defend this malicious and worthless woman. This woman is in Classical Studies in order to destroy them, so that you, who will read her books, will form a false image of the epics that built Western civilization. How Odysseus is not a hero, Achilles is not a hero, men are not great and brave but evil, and how the patriarchy must be fought so that women can win. They are trying to convince you that there is no heroism in Homer. Yet the epics were written precisely for this reason: so that you understand what it means to be a hero, what sacrifices are required, what difficulties you will face, and how you will achieve eternal fame. How you will conquer your passions, how anger destroys you, and how moral virtues lead you toward godlike status. She hates all of this. She wants you spiritually dead. She hates you. Therefore, it is completely justified for you to hate them too.

Around these days in July 356 BC, Alexander was born in Pella. Plutarch writes: "That Alexander was, on his father’s side, a descendant of Heracles through Karanus, and on his mother’s side a descendant of Aeacus through Neoptolemus (Achilles' son), is one of the most widely accepted facts (Karanus was the founder, in the 9th century BC, of the dynasty to which Alexander belonged). Philip, after being initiated into the mysteries of Samothrace at the same time as Olympias, he was still a young man and she an orphan, fell in love with her and immediately arranged the marriage, having first persuaded her brother Arybbas. Before the night on which the marriage was consummated, the bride dreamed that a clap of thunder was heard, a thunderbolt fell upon her belly, and from the spot a great fire blazed up, spreading flames in every direction before they died away. Later, after the wedding, Philip himself dreamed that he placed a seal on his wife’s belly. The device on the seal, as he imagined, was in the form of a lion. And she was pregnant with a child who would be bold and lion-hearted (Source: Plutarch, Alexander ch. 2) Philip was a member of the royal house of the Argeads. He was also born in Pella and was a descendant of Perdiccas I, the founder of the Macedonian state, and a descendant of the royal Temenid-Argead dynasty. He was also the great-grandson of Karanus, the patriarch of the Macedonians and a Temenid. This dynasty was a continuation of the Temenids of Argos from Peloponnese. All of them were known as Heracleidae, a term used in ancient texts to refer to the sons of Heracles and all his descendants, up until the death of Alexander IV, son of Alexander III (Alexander the Great), which marked the end of this divine bloodline. The Temenids are those who brought the "Vergina Star" to Macedonia. It was a PanHellenic symbol. For example the Laconian crater with the Panhellenic Sun, a 6th-century BC Spartan artifact (at Louvre Museum now), features the 16-ray Sun, highlighting its Panhellenic significance long before Macedonia's rise. It's a historical connection between Laconia and its northern Dorian relatives, the Macedonians. On the other hand, Alexander’s mother was originally named Polyxena (Πολυξένη), also a Greek name (Πολυξένη < πολύς + ξένη) and means "very hospitable". She was the second daughter of Neoptolemus II, king of the Molossians of Epirus, and was born in the Molossian capital, Passaron (modern-day Ioannina region). Her family belonged to the Aeacid Dynasty. The Aeacidae (Αἰακίδαι) were descendants of Aeacus. Her father, Neoptolemus II of Epirus, was the son of Alcetas I and was named after Neoptolemus, the son of Achilles, who was the founder of the dynasty. Polyxena learned the priestly art at the Oracle of Dodona, where she spent many years as a priestess. As an initiate in the Mysteries of Bacchus, she was also a priestess of the Cabirian Mysteries of Samothrace The name Alexander (Ἀλέξανδρος) is Greek and is composed of two elements: 1. ἀλέξω (alexō) – This verb means "to defend," "to ward off," or "to protect." It reflects a sense of protection, particularly in the context of guarding against danger or enemies. 2. ἀνήρ (anēr), genitive: ἀνδρός (andros) – This word means "man" or "warrior." In ancient Greek, it often referred to a strong or courageous man. The full name "Alexander" (Ἀλέξανδρος) can be interpreted as: "Defender of Men" or "Protector of Warriors." Alternatively, it can mean "He who wards off or protects mankind." .. Philip, deeply moved, is said to have shed a tear of joy and, as Alexander dismounted, he said to him: "My son, you must seek a kingdom worthy of yourself, for Macedonia is too small for you." — Plutarch, Parallel Lives Alexander [6]

Tucker Carlson has never read about the pogroms against the Greek Christians of Constantinople carried out by Muslim Turks that took place in 1955, just 70 years ago. These events took place roughly 30 years after the Greek-Armenian-Assyrian genocide, which was motivated by both religious and racial hatred. By then, the goal was to completely erase every remaining Greek element from Asia Minor. Their next target was the once-Greek Constantinople. It was a warm September evening in 1955, in the heart of Constantinople, a city still echoing with the ghosts of its Greek-Byzantine past. The Greek community was already marginalized by years of discriminatory policies, felt the weight of suspicion. After the fall of Constantinople, thousands were slaughtered, but they tried to keep the flame alive. But, on September 6 (1955), a false report spread like a spark in dry grass: a bomb had allegedly damaged the Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki, near the house where Mustafa Kemal was born. The bombing was a staged provocation, orchestrated by Turkish authorities to incite rage. By dusk, Constantinople was a tinderbox. Mobs, organized and armed with clubs, knives, and gasoline, poured into the streets, targeting Greek homes, businesses, and churches. The government’s role was clear; lists of Greek properties had been prepared in advance, and the police stood by, complicit or indifferent. It was all staged. A plan with only one purpose. To murder innocent Greek Christians that were living peacefully in the land of their ancestors, in the City that was built by their fathers. A crowd, chanting Kemalist slogans just like the days of the Genocide of 1922, smashes windows, looting everything; shelves, ovens, even family photos. The mob moves with precision, targeting Greek-owned properties. Churches, like the Zoodochos Pigi in Balat, are desecrated; holy icons are shattered, and altars burned. The Greek cemetery in Şişli is vandalized, graves defiled in an orgy of destruction. 4,348 Greek businesses, 110 hotels, 27 pharmacies, 23 schools, and 73 churches were damaged or destroyed. Many Greeks were killed, hundreds injured and numerous women assaulted. The mobs, often transported from outside Constantinople, carried out their rampage over two days, September 6–7, leaving the Greek community in ruins. The pogrom was a death knell. Many lost everything; homes, livelihoods, security. Greeks of Constantinople were reducing over time already after the fall in 1453. But that was the final hit. The exodus of Greeks from Turkey, reduced the community of over 250.000 to fewer than 2.000 today. As dawn broke on September 7, Constantinople became "Istanbul". The last Greeks, descendants of those who found the City, who built the city, who defended the City, who had history in this City, were expelled from their ancestral homeland. Streets were littered with broken glass and shattered dreams. The Greek community, a cornerstone of the city’s history, was left to pick up the pieces. That was, the anti-Greek "Istanbul pogrom" that took place on 6–7 September 1955. These events are fresh in our memories. How can we forget all the thing they did to us? They came and they expelled Greeks from their homes. Constantinople, Asia Minor, Cappadocia, Pontus, Cyprus, Ionia. We will never forget, everything they did to us. We will never coexist with them.
