Mr Peter Obi today attended the funeral service of Elder Etim Edet Umoh in Oron, Akwa Ibom State. Elder Umoh was a renowned administrator, a distinguished public servant, and a man widely respected for his uprightness, honesty and integrity. Even while serving in INEC, an institution that has often faced serious allegations of corruption, he remained committed to the values of integrity and public service. He was also blessed with remarkable children, among whom is Esther Umoh , the official photographer of Mr Peter Obi, a valued member of the POMO family who continues to honour her father’s legacy through her own dedication and service. We extend our deepest condolences to the Umoh family, friends, colleagues and the people of Oron on this painful loss. May the soul of Elder Etim Edet Umoh, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in perfect peace. Amen.
