One is football, the other is anti-football. Whomever handles Argentina's PR really has a lot of work on their hands after this WC. I don't think I've ever seen so much backlash. They don't give a fuck. Argentinians are very stubborn, especially when they're wrong, moreso when it's about football. The whole of south america are happy that the world is starting to acknowledge that Argentinians are rascist. Their rugby team has also lost their marbles (after being seen as a fairly respected team). Something is going on in Argentina.

This woman wheeled a dead man into the bank and tried to get him to 'sign off' a loan in her name while holding his head up. Footage showed the woman telling the dead man to grip hold of his pen hard as she placed it between his fingers and encouraged him to sign a piece of paper at the bank branch in Bangu, a neighbourhood in the western area of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A bank worker witnessing the scene told the woman : 'I don't think this is legal. He doesn't look well. He's very pale.' She replied: 'He's like that' before she told the dead OAP: 'If you're not well, I can take you to hospital. Do you want to go back to hospital again? deceased pensioner, Paulo Roberto Braga, 68, had passed away a few hours earlier. The woman who wheeled him into the bank, Erika de Souza Vieira Nunes, was arrested at the scene and told police she was his niece as well as his carer. Officials have appeared to signal they are related and are said to be checking CCTV cameras inside and outside the bank to see if Mr Braga's family member was on her own or with alleged accomplices amid suspicion they could be dealing with an organised fraud. Mo Salah pulled his teammates away who were complaining to the referee and shook hands with the officials. He was probably the only one in that team who is experienced enough at the elite level to have the maturity to take responsibility for his own mistakes. That’s why he’s a legend. Stay calm during a setback, just wait for the next chance. He's literally doing that here - they feel unjust, but he remains calm, move on to the next goal.

In Spain, a 13-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped by a neighbor. The attacker was sentenced to only 9 years in prison. After serving just 6 years of his sentence, he was released on parole and returned to the city. One day he ran into the girl’s mother near a bus stop. He asked her with a mocking tone: “How’s your daughter doing?” That was her breaking point and frustration. She bought gasoline, went back, doused him with it, and set him on fire. The man suffered severe burns and died a couple days later. She didn’t run. Even though she was in a state of shock, she told the people around her what she had done and waited for the police to show up. She was sentenced to 5 and a half years in prison, but thanks to a massive public campaign calling for her pardon, she was freed.

Two days after Henry died Hampshire Police secretly recorded Digwa in a police van speaking Punjabi to his brother. Digwa admitted stabbing Henry. Discussed claiming self defence. Made zero mention of racial abuse. Not one word. Hampshire Police had that tape. They knew Digwa was lying about the racist attack. They had the evidence. They had his own words and then tried to smear Henry as the aggressor anyway. Three days after his death their statement read “it was reported two men had been assaulted by an unknown man.” Henry was the unknown man. The boy bleeding out on the street. They flipped it. Family complained. Statement changed. Then police told the family their NEXT update would again infer Henry was the initial aggressor. His family had to fight them a second time. While grieving their murdered son. Then during the trial Hampshire tried to issue a statement telling the public to stop talking about it online. Calling it disinformation. The CPS had to step in. Told them they were about to collapse their own murder case. This is the force that handcuffed a dying boy. Missed the murder weapon twice. Had a secret tape proving the killer lied. And still tried to bury Henry's name. That's not incompetence. That's a machine protecting itself. At the expense of a dead boy's reputation and three officers are still on active duty. Not suspended. Treated as witnesses. To their own actions. Hampshire Police didn't just fail Henry on that street. They kept failing him for six months after he died. - BanksyCat

Iran's as their last minute goal vs Egypt was overturned by VAR denying them a crucial victory that would have guaranteed an advancement out of groups. The player was in an offsides position when the ball was played by the original shooter so he cannot play the ball on the rebound. That is if there is a deflection. There is an exception: If a defending player deliberately plays or controls the ball (such as attempting a back-pass or a controlled clearance) and it falls to you, the offside is reset, and you can legally play the ball. That obviously doesn’t happen here. It’s a clear deflection and rebound in this play and isn’t the defense gaining control and sending it to the originally offsides player. It’s the right call by VAR. Same reason a penalty or free kick taker can’t hit the ball first if they hit the post.
