Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) will host its first commercial landing with an Indigo A320 on December 29, 2024, milestone follows successful validation of the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system by the AAI. Full operations are slated to begin by March 31, 2025, aiming to ease congestion at Mumbai’s CSMIA. NMIA, a major greenfield project, will handle 90 million passengers and 2.5 million tonnes of cargo annually.
