This is shocking. At an EU Foreign Affairs Committee meeting, Lynn Boylan lamented that it was “a pity we can’t use our own language.” When it was pointed out that she could, in fact, speak Irish, she backtracked almost instantly: "I wasn’t prepared, so I’ll use English."

Ye won't believe this. After making a holy show of herself in one meeting over Irish. Boylan popped into the next meeting to demand EU treaties in Irish. She couldn’t read her own speech as Gaeilge but apparently will be able for dense legal texts in Irish. WTF?
