This is shocking. At an EU Foreign Affairs Committee meeting, Lynn Boylan lamented that it was “a pity we can’t use our own language.” When it was pointed out that she could, in fact, speak Irish, she backtracked almost instantly: "I wasn’t prepared, so I’ll use English."

Michael Healy-Rae TD has been hospitalised after being assaulted in Dublin City Centre. Audio removed because what was being said was not true. He was taken by gardaí to Kevin Street Garda Station, and an ambulance was called, after which he was taken to hospital.

Ye won't believe this. After making a holy show of herself in one meeting over Irish. Boylan popped into the next meeting to demand EU treaties in Irish. She couldn’t read her own speech as Gaeilge but apparently will be able for dense legal texts in Irish. WTF?
