#b3d QuickTip. How to create Normals for your billboard smoke texture for easy relighting. Open your VDB, point sunlights in 6 directions(XYZ, -XYZ), give colors R,G and B and opposite color from colorwheel the remaining 3. Adjust volume. Then render with standard viewtransform!

just 8 million Points, no geometry. You can use the Point normal for texture coordinates and rotate randomly+wind in shader. Really light memory wise but requires tons of transparency passes. Could be great for moss etc. viewport is smooth as butter. #rnd #b3d #geometrynodes

Aye figured out how SpaghetMeNot did this. Actually 2 different ways. Had some struggle finding out how to calculate the surface matrix or whatever in order the bend the original normals. But realized you dont really need it in order to get same results. #b3d #geometrynodes
