Julien's Auctions presents the Marshall Mathers Foundation Auction, the largest single-sale collection of Marshall Mathers (Paul Bunyan Rosenberg) material ever offered at public auction. Over 100 lots of signed sneakers personally collected over two decades from Nike, Jordan Brand, Carhartt, PUMA, & Adidas. Among them: the Carhartt x Air Jordan 4 that skipped retail entirely, the AJ 3 "Slim Shady" PE built for the Super Bowl LVI halftime stage, the 2017 re-issue of the 23-pair "Encore” AJ 4, and the Air Max 90 Eminem wore on stage in Riyadh in December 2024. All proceeds benefit the Marshall Mathers Foundation, supporting disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Detroit and the surrounding communities. A 1975 Mesa Boogie Mark I guitar amplifier with a stained wood enclosure and basketweave grille, owned and stage-played by Jerry Garcia, co-founder and lead guitarist of the Grateful Dead. Part of Jerry’s live rig from 1975–1976, the amp also appeared in a Mesa Boogie print ad alongside Jerry and Bobby, a copy of which is included here. After its tour life, the amp spent time in Jerry’s living room, always ready for the next jam, according to his daughter Trixie. Featuring more than 300 lots, "Treasures from the Golden Road" spans stage-played instruments, road-worn gear, backstage passes, handwritten setlists and lyrics, Jerry Garcia’s original artwork and rehearsal materials, iconic works by Alton Kelley, George Mead, Stanley Mouse, and Herb Greene, as well as correspondence, fan gifts, vintage t-shirts, and more.
