A 1975 Mesa Boogie Mark I guitar amplifier with a stained wood enclosure and basketweave grille, owned and stage-played by Jerry Garcia, co-founder and lead guitarist of the Grateful Dead. 2020 COLLECTION: 5 YEARS LATER - DAY3 OOF. at this point it was pretty clear Duncan and Griffin at NiftyGateway that one person was winning every single auction. There were still 10 more to go on this Sunday... At the very last second of the final auction, a extremely last second bid cam in taking the total from about $350k to $777k, destroying the record for the most expensive NFT ever bought. you can see the disbelief in the video as we were sure the auction was over. but our boi tim.eth ⁙ illestrater came through at the last second clinching single W against the insane performance that Metakovan had built over the last two days winning every other auction. i was fully a pile of mush at this point, trying to wrap my head around how I had just sold $3.5M worth of this 'thing' that almost nobody I knew understood and I had only learned of less than 2 months earlier. but the real people who made this event possible are Metakovan and tim.eth ⁙ illestrater and i really don't think they get enough credit for the insane belief and conviction this took. their actions over this weekend literally changed the course of art history. little did i know that as fucking INSANE as this was... it was actually just the beginning. 😅

THIS IS NOT MY CARD… yet I pulled this 1st Edition Charizard in 2021. Since then, the price of these Grails has nearly doubled. The last one just sold for $550k This one, however, is the only PSA 10 1st Ed Zard in the world with the “Logan Paul Break” pedigree. This Polymarket is essentially measuring what Premium that commands. Will a buyer pay over $700k to own THE card that marks one of the most culturally relevant moments in Pokemon history? The crowd went wild. So did two young men dancing like tomorrow had been cancelled -yours truly and Marshall Godfrey Alenyo Jr. It was reggae, rebellion, and rhythm. But as fate would have it, that song was less nostalgia and more prophecy. Fast-forward to 2026. Marshall has spotted another rat -this time not in a kitchen, but in the mechanics of representation, debate, and delivery. He fixed one in Jonam County and emerged victorious as MP. Now he has his sights on a bigger one: the quality and conduct of debate in the 12th Parliament of Uganda. And yes, he intends to fix that rat too—by vying for Deputy Speaker of Parliament as an Independent. This is not bravado. This is biography. I have watched Marshall speak in rooms where the air thickens and people lean forward instinctively. You know the look -hand to mouth, head tilted, eyes locked in. It’s the look of people watching thought assemble itself in real time. A piano could fall outside and no one would flinch. That’s eloquence with authority. An incredibly rare Gustav Klimt painting, which was stolen by Nazis before eventually landing in the collection of Estée Lauder heir Leonard Lauder (who was Jewish), sold at Sotheby’s tonight for a record $236,360,000 (hammer of $205,000,000 plus premium). This marked a record for modern art at auction and a record at Sotheby’s for any artwork. It also beats the known record for a Klimt painting by over $50 million (private sale) and the auction record for a Klimt painting by over $100 million. Painted between 1914 and 1916, it captures the 20-year-old daughter of August and Serena Lederer, two of Klimt’s most important Jewish patrons. Wrapped in an imperial Chinese dragon robe, Elisabeth stands at the height of Vienna’s cultural world — a world the Nazis would try to erase a generation later. After Austria fell to the Third Reich, the Lederer family’s entire art collection was seized because they were Jewish. Much of it was shipped to Schloss Immendorf, where retreating German forces set the building on fire in 1945. Countless Klimt works were reduced to ash. This portrait survived — one of the rare pieces to escape both Nazi looting and that catastrophic fire. The portrait was one of only two full-length Klimt portraits still in private hands. A vast majority of surviving Klimt paintings are in museums. Leonard Lauder and his brother Ronald Lauder (through his museum, the Neue Galerie) are among the few collectors to own Klimt paintings.
