This is Ile Nla “The Big House”, located in Iyanera, Ijanikin, Lagos. It was originally proposed as the headquarters of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), formerly known as the National Provident Fund, before Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory was moved from Lagos to Abuja. Sadly, for decades, this massive structure has been left to decay, slowly wasting away. A place like this could have been repurposed into something far more productive and beneficial to society if only the right decisions had been made. What do you think this space could have been used for to create value, productivity, and long-term impact? Share your thoughts in the comment section. More details dropping soon on my YouTube channel. Kindly like and share let's discuss this project it can't just be wasting

Lagos is daring to dream big. What you’re seeing here is the ongoing construction of Phase 2 of the Lagos Blue Line mass transit rail project. Following the successful launch and operation of Phase 1 running from Mile 2 to Marina for over two years work on the next phase is advancing rapidly. And this is just one section of the rail corridor currently taking shape. Step by step, Lagos is expanding a modern urban rail system designed to transform mobility for millions across the city.

The Lagos–Badagry Expressway remains one of the key corridors for commerce, tourism, and logistics. With recent government efforts, the road is finally wearing a new look from improved lane expansion to ongoing drainage, median, and BRT corridor works. These upgrades are setting the stage for renewed activity in the area, and there’s no doubt that major investments are about to flow into this corridor. See full👇

Please share so others can see this too. If this is ignored, the true essence of this video is lost. Let’s get this to the right authorities. Nigerians are truly suffering along the Lagos–Badagry Expressway, particularly from Agbara Junction to Ijanikin. After long, exhausting workdays, many commuters are forced to trek over a kilometer just to find a vehicle, or remain stranded for hours in unbearable traffic due to ongoing construction. While temporary disruptions are expected during road projects, the current pace of work does not match the level of hardship being experienced daily. The situation suggests that commuters’ welfare is not being given the urgency it deserves. This is more than an inconvenience — it is affecting productivity, safety, and quality of life. Authorities and contractors must urgently review the work plan, improve traffic management, and accelerate construction to ease the suffering of thousands who rely on this vital corridor every day. 📍 Agbara Junction – Ijanikin, Lagos–Badagry Expressway

When the Federal Government of Nigeria commissioned parts of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway particularly Section One it did not commission the entire stretch. Section One spans about 47.7 kilometres, but only completed portions were opened at the time, while other segments were still in early construction stages due to swampy terrain, soil stabilization, and ongoing sandfilling works. Today, most of Section One has been fully covered, and pavement works have commenced, gradually transforming it into a continuous corridor from Victoria Island to the Lekki Free Trade Zone. This project is steadily taking shape. I’ll be sharing a comprehensive update soon, showing what’s happening across the previously disjointed sections. Stay tuned for the full breakdown. #lagoscalabarcoastalhighway

The ongoing Outer Marina shoreline protection project in Lagos is another major step toward safeguarding critical infrastructure and reducing the impact of coastal erosion and flooding along the Marina corridor. Beyond protecting the shoreline, the project is expected to improve environmental resilience, preserve key road networks, and enhance the overall outlook of Lagos Island’s waterfront. A strategic intervention gradually reshaping the future of Lagos’s coastal landscape.

The ongoing Light Up Lagos initiative continues to transform major corridors across the state, and Mile 2 is now one of the latest beneficiaries. New street lighting installations are being activated along this busy axis, improving night time visibility, enhancing security, and supporting smoother traffic flow. For years, this corridor has been a critical gateway for commuters heading towards Festac, Orile, Apapa, and the Badagry expressway. The renewed lighting system is not just infrastructure it’s a boost to safety, commerce, and the overall look of the city at night. As Lagos pushes forward with major transportation upgrades, these lighting projects show the state’s commitment to creating a safer and more modern urban environment. Mile 2 now glows as another step toward a brighter, better connected Lagos ...this an ongoing project I thought share with my people follow for more update 💗

A quick update on the ocean wave barrier being installed around KM 13-15 of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway a critical coastal protection system designed to shield the new road from Atlantic Ocean encroachment and powerful wave action. By reinforcing the shoreline with specialized materials and wave-breaking structures, engineers are safeguarding the highway’s foundation from erosion and flooding, helping ensure long-term stability and resilience against rising tides and coastal threats. This protection enhances the durability of the highway, preserves investment value, and supports safe, uninterrupted connectivity along Nigeria’s eastern coastal corridor.

Lagos-Calabar coastal road at nightsI was recently at the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway again this time at night and honestly, I was blown away. The night view is absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t help but admire how beautifully this road is coming together. What you’re seeing here is just a glimpse of how it looks after dark. In my next video, I’ll take you on a full night tour, from Victoria Island all the way to the Lekki Corridor, so you can experience firsthand how incredible the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway looks at night. #lagoscalabarcoastalhighway #lagosnigeria

The Ogun State section of the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway is rising fast from Agbara Junction inward to Ilaro, heading toward Abeokuta. About 30 kilometres have already been covered on the first carriageway with continuous reinforced concrete pavement, while work is actively ongoing on the second carriageway ahead of pavement construction. The pace of construction here is truly impressive, and I can’t wait to share a full video update with you all soon. #SokotoBadagrySuperhighway #NigeriaInfrastructure #RoadConstruction
