On my return to Kano last night, I visited my little friend, Asma’u Sani, as she continues to convalesce before her departure to India for further treatment. I was happy to see her in a much improved condition, and I extend my gratitude to the medical team for their constant support for her and the parents. - AKY

Asmau Sani’s case caught my attention on the Social Media, and I took time today, to visit her and other patients at the National Orthopedic Hospital, Dala. I’ve paid the sum of N1.5 million Naira for her chemotherapy and related medical treatments, among other expenses. We shall also continue to monitor her progress, as the well-being of herself and other patients in our state is top priority. - AKY

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of witnessing the 65th Independence Day celebration at the Sani Abacha Stadium. On this occasion, I proudly announced that our administration has made significant progress across key sectors in the past two and a half years, despite the ongoing economic challenges. In the educational sector, we have achieved remarkable success by exceeding the UNESCO benchmark. We have allocated nearly one-third of the state budgets for 2024 and 2025 to education. We have also made substantial strides in other sectors, including recruiting 6,000 new teachers and absorbing 2,000 volunteer instructors into permanent service. The event was further enlivened by colourful processions from members of the security and paramilitary services, with the exception of the Nigerian Police Force. We were also honoured to have our students and other units of children present. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their unwavering dedication. - AKY

One significant achievement our government has achieved in saving cost of governance and improving the security of our people is the installation of solar-powered streetlights along several roads in Kano. This ongoing project has covered several kilometers, and is breathing life into roads that were previously perpetually dark. - AKY
