I am devastated right now. Tuesday, Ope Ola Grace called my attention to a woman who she saw at Sweet Sensation, OPIC Abeokuta with a child who appeared visibly malnourished. When I went even o check, she was no longer there. I finally got the chance to go see her moments ago and I met the baby like this. I don't know what to do. I'm thinking the worst but this woman is still holding on to the child that she's sleeping. Tried telling her to follow me to the hospital, but she refused. I have called the Commissioner for Women Affairs, and she's on her way to meet us here.

I lost some of my faith in people yesterday. Do you all remember this story of the woman we found on the road carrying a dead child? Around 3pm yesterday while I was at the hospital, I got a call from Ope Ola Grace. She sounded really confused. I asked what’s wrong then she said she saw this woman at Lafenwa begging for alms among the beggars. I told her to wait there and make sure she doesn’t leave, that I am on my way to confirm with my eyes because it can’t be possible. I got there with Seeker of Truth and it was indeed true. I couldn’t believe what I saw. How’s this possible?? We set up a business worth around N300k for her last December, gave her money, gave her husband extra money to keep. Enrolled her kids (all 3 of them) in school, supplied all needed school materials for one year. Bought at least 3 months worth of food supply for them as well. The Hon Commissioner for women affairs Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye also sent delegates to her with lots of needed items; 25kg bags of rice twice in the last 5 months, 10 crates of soft drink for the wife in January. The commissioner also made sure that her husband was among the 100 beneficiaries of the N100,000 disability grant of the RHI shared on the 17th of April by First Lady Remi Tinubu in Abeokuta. He confirmed that he received the N100k the same day. I called her at the spot to show her the woman and she was confused too. Like, “Jack, what else could we have done?” I asked people there, they said she’s been begging with them for more than a month. When I explained in details all the help we have provided for her in the last 5 months, they got angry, saying she should leave. That’s not even the worst part of this story. The worst, I fear, is she appears pregnant again. However she insisted she’s not, that she just ate eba, that’s why her stomach is big. We took her back home, the husband (visually impaired as I stated then) said he was not aware that she has been begging, and he can’t see, so no way to confirm if she’s pregnant. Everyone in her community said she goes out for 3-4hours everyday when the kids have gone to school to get ‘supplies’ for their mini-stall. They said some other troubling things about her that I won’t want to share here. I am confused on what to do next.

Unfortunately, the baby was pronounced dead. From there, we followed the woman to where she lives (terrible I must say). We found that the husband is blind and she has 2/3 other kids who look visibly malnourished as well. Arrangements has been made for the burial by her team. She has also constituted a committee to take up medical check-ups for the entire family and contribute a fund to set up a business for the woman. I had a bad day. 😥💔

This Lafenwa-Itele-Ayobo road is a Federal road which most of its span stretches through Ado Odo Ota LGA of Ogun state, and it connects Ogun to Lagos State through Mopol Junction. However, I’d like to clarify the things you got wrong. Walk with me: 1. The Lafenwa-Itele-Ayobo road is a 12km Federal road which passes through Ado Odo Otta LGA in Ogun Ogun State. It connects Ogun State to Lagos State via the Mopol Junction. Federal Road Reconstruction works, facilitated by Senator Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola YAYI. CON, FCA , commenced in March 2023 on this road. Evidence: 2. The photos you posted are OLD photos taken from google. They don’t reflect the true state of the road. (Check frame C and D and E for evidence) 3. The reality is: the road is currently under construction by the Federal Government, and asphalt laying began on parts of the road (from Oju Ore) in September, 2024. {Check frame A, B and C, They are time-stamped, well documented evidence of progress report on the road sourced from social media} —Please always verify information, especially photos very well before you post them. —It’s now the FG’s responsibility to complete it as budget has been released for it. {Work direction is from Oju Ore to Lafenwa to Mopol junction—which is the border of Lagos and Ogun State.}

The exact place where the trending ‘flood’ video of yesterday was recorded. {I attached the time-stamp from the camera app to satisfy the doubting Thomas. To them, everything is a lie}. The overflow during the yesterday’s heavy rainfall was caused by illegal refuse dumping in drainage ways. The water level receded and drained last night.
