Much of our farm has been under water since October. The wheat we planted is now rotten, the maize from last year not silaged. Our neighbours have given up growing barley and gone with environmental schemes. This is why I keep asking who is going to feed Britain? Once the EU import checks dry up EU foods, where will the food come from?

🇩🇪 Friedrich Merz joking about the EU flag was delicious, you can see Starmer squirm. Starmer thought Trump would be his shield. Now he’s admitting UK and European security are inseparable. Economic gravity …. Security gravity. The case for rebuilding our European partnership writes itself. Making Brexit work always meant dead and painful end for Starmer. 🇬🇧🇪🇺

🆘 Watch this 10-second clip from Farmers Weekly Philip Case 🧨 🐔 Nigel Farage confirms he would allow chlorinated chicken into the UK. When challenged he deflects to “labelling” and even blames British food for not selling itself properly. 🔥 British farmers don’t need better marketing. They need politicians who won’t undercut them.

Oh look 👀 Sky News forgot to mention that #Brexit is the major cause of the lengthy delays at #Dover. For some reason they want to blame it all on rail strikes 🤦‍♀️ #Brexit Denial Syndrome

🚩 Victoria Derbyshire “We interviewed Andy Burnham on Friday night…. We did ask Robert Kenyon if he'd join us tonight. That was declined.” For all the talk of Labour avoiding scrutiny, Andy Burnham is out there taking questions from anyone who’ll ask them. Reform hiding and avoiding scrutiny!

‼️ Farage blames British chicken packaging for imports beating us on price. ❌ It’s not the packaging. It’s the Brexit trade policy he championed opening the door to cheaper imports and potentially US chlorinated chicken. Strange 🇬🇧 patriotism: Run down British food while undercutting British farmers.

⚡️ SHOCKING! Trade Minister Chris Bryant huge Brexit admission: 🫨16,000 fewer 🇬🇧 businesses export after Brexit. Brexit crippled 🇬🇧 business. 🇫🇷 🇩🇪 That’s why France and Germany are outperforming us. 👉That’s why growth is weaker. 👉That’s why wages are under pressure. Brexit used sovereignty as bait and delivered endless buckets of self-harm which benefit Russian 🇷🇺 aggression.

The UK economy is not suffering because we trade too little with the USA 🇺🇸 It’s suffering bc we sabotaged our biggest trading relationship ie Europe. And The Labour Party is protecting that sabotage, not fixing it. Jonathan Reynolds confirms that our biggest trading relationship is with the EU but their trade strategy is downgrading 🇬🇧 substantially.

✅ Kevin Maguire is right. 🔥 If you argue that America is intervening in #Iran to uphold human rights and oppose brutality abroad, you need to reckon with how its own agencies behave at home. Kevin points out that a President who has expanded ICE enforcement, presided over deadly encounters involving ICE agents, and cracked down on protests is not in a strong position to claim moral high ground for foreign intervention.

👏 Finally, we have a PM telling the truth about why Britain is stuck in a trap, a trap that had been closing around us for decades, but which finally snapped shut with Brexit. The extraction of public wealth has hollowed out our essential services. It was enabled by an over centralised, winner takes all political system that hands enormous power to governments elected by a minority and allows wealthy donors and vested interests far too much influence over policy. In 1960s, the Beeching cuts dismantled thousands of miles of railway. They were implemented under transport minister Ernest Marples, who had longstanding links to the roadbuilder Marples Ridgway. Britain promoted motorways and cars by destroying much of the alternative. Other European countries expanded roads while retaining far stronger rail networks. In 1964, Tesco founder Jack Cohen successfully lobbied for the abolition of Resale Price Maintenance. It helped supermarkets consolidate power at the expense of independent retailers, farmers and smaller suppliers. Much of Europe imposed stronger restraints on monopoly and protected domestic production. Thatcher’s assault on industry was the most brutal stage. Rapid deindustrialisation devastated communities, while Britain’s North Sea oil and gas windfall helped the government absorb the resulting unemployment instead of building national wealth for the future, as Norway 🇳🇴 did. Then came the great privatisation: water, energy, transport and other strategic infrastructure treated as assets to be sold and exploited rather than services essential to national resilience. We can now see where that politics ends: sewage in our rivers, vulnerable water supplies, failing infrastructure, regional inequality and private extraction underwritten by the public. Brexit was the culmination. It removed Britain from the European structures that had constrained some of this behaviour, weakened our economy and left an already centralised state even more exposed to vested interests. So Andy Burnham is right to connect our European future with electoral reform. To begin releasing Britain from the trap, we must repair our relationship with Europe and replace FPTP. Those are not separate reforms. They are the two keys needed to unlock the country. 👏
