Great coordination between officers in the air and on the ground led to last weekend's arrests of a man & woman working together in separate stolen SUVs who were suspected of multiple Brentwood vehicle break-ins. The guy slightly injured an officer before speeding off. He later tossed a gun onto a roof, & drove at high speeds before the SUV's tires were spiked. All while an MNPD helicopter crew watched.

OVERDOSE AWARENESS: In the last 24 hours, the MNPD has responded to 6 fatal overdoses. All from different areas and from different drugs. Yesterday, Neighborhood Safety Unit Sergeant Anthony Cucci and partnering Metro agencies distributed 300+ overdose reversal kits to affected neighborhoods. PLEASE ‼️ be cautious - NEVER ever assume you truly know what is in street drugs. It only takes a small amount of fentanyl to become deadly to users. Naloxone is available and free at the NashvilleHealth. There are also 428 locations countywide equipped with ONEboxes that each contain 2 doses of Narcan. Quick action can save a life. Need help with addiction or resources? Contact the Community Overdose Response Team at 615-687-1701.

The MNPD Fraud Unit has received more than 200 reports this year for fake housing listings through secondary websites like Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. Victims have lost thousands after scammers sent over leases & access codes that appeared legitimate, but were NOT. The worst part? You will most likely not be able to recover that money if it has been digitally transferred to a scammer. What can you do to prevent this? Fraud Unit Sgt. Clinton Schroeder recommends you Google the address and see if there are multiple postings for the rental. Make sure the contact info MATCHES on all the listings. THEN ask the realtor/property owner to meet you in person. If they refuse? 🚩🚩🚩 Need to report a scam? Please call our non-emergency line at 615-862-8600.
