Today, I place before the people my 10 ‘Protigya’ for Bengal. My commitments span every pillar of governance, strengthening support for women, youth, farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and the elderly; advancing education and healthcare; ensuring housing and piped drinking water for every household; strengthening administration; and transforming Bengal into the Gateway of trade for Eastern India. Through these pledges, I reiterate my resolve to sustain the momentum of progress with renewed vigour in the fourth term of my Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, and to further strengthen Bengal’s position as one of the leading states of the nation.

The extraordinary enthusiasm, the genuine warmth, the spontaneous emotional outpouring of ordinary people at yesterday’s padyatra and janasabhas have moved me in ways that words can only approximate. This is a bond, forged over years of standing together through every challenge this land has faced. The victory of Maa-Mati-Manush is no longer a matter of prediction. It is a matter of time. This sacred land of Bengal has, since time immemorial, stood as a beacon of harmony, culture, and civilisational pride. It has no place for divisive, destructive forces who seek to deprive Bengal of its rightful dues, tarnish its heritage, and ride their lust for power over the dignity of its people. They will receive the only response they deserve. A decisive, democratic reckoning from the vigilant and united people of Bengal. The momentum of development has touched every corner of this state. No malicious force can halt it. Our people-centric welfare initiatives are the protective shield of Bengal's citizens, and no power on earth has the authority to snatch them away. I remain firmly confident that the people will continue to stand for Bengal's development, peace, and progress as they always have. To protect our language, our culture, and the proud legacy of this land, I humbly appeal to every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or background, to press the Joraphool symbol on 29th April and ensure a resounding victory for all Maa-Mati-Manush candidates.

The love, energy, and warmth I witnessed today among my mothers, brothers, and sisters at the janasabhas in Harirampur, Raiganj, and Habibpur will remain etched in my heart. I am humbled by the affection you have shown me. It is your blessings, your trust, and your support that propels Trinamool Congress forward in our journey of development and service. There is no place in Bengal for Bohiragoto Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars from Delhi. They sow seeds of unrest in this land of harmony. Through relentless conspiracies, they seek to strip the people of their constitutional rights, erase their identity, and capture power through division, deception, and fear. Bengal's strength has always been its unity. Every caste, every community, every faith, we stand together as one. From Eid to Durga Puja, from Christmas to Diwali, every festival in this land is celebrated together, because Bengal has never drawn lines. Those who insult our culture will not be forgiven. Those who trample upon our democracy will not be forgiven. Those who seek to rule Bengal from Delhi, without an ounce of regard for this land or its people, do not deserve a single vote. Bengal's identity must be protected. The dignity of our mothers and sisters must be upheld. And that protection, that dignity, can only be secured through one decisive act at the ballot box. I sincerely appeal to every voter across Bengal to ensure a massive victory for all Trinamool Congress candidates, including Biplab Mitra from Harirampur, Krishna Kalyani from Raiganj, Amal Kisku from Habibpur, and Lipika Barman Ghosh from Maldaha.

Today, I attended janasabhas at Amdanga and Haripal, and led a padyatra covering Shibpur and Howrah Dakshin in support of our Maa-Mati-Manush candidates. The resounding uludhwani of our mothers and sisters, and the thunderous applause of our brothers, charged the air with an energy and emotion that words can barely capture. It is on the strength of this love, and with these blessings, that we press forward in our mission for Bengal's development. The zamindars sitting in Delhi have long treated Bengal as an afterthought, a state to be exploited during elections and ignored thereafter. The BJP makes sweeping promises to Bengal every five years, yet when the time comes to deliver, they withhold funds that rightfully belong to this state and its people. This is a deliberate betrayal. The people of Bengal have seen through it, and they will no longer accept it. Outsiders cannot understand Bengal, its soil, its soul, its centuries of culture and resistance. They come here with the politics of division; we answer with the politics of development. Trinamool Congress has stood by the people of Bengal through every storm, and we will continue to do so. This election is Bengal's moment to speak. To protect our heritage, our rights, and our dignity, I urge every community, every faith, every language to vote for Peerzada Kasem Siddiqui from Amdanga, Dr. Karabi Manna from Haripal, Dr. Rana Chatterjee from Shibpur, Nandita Choudhary from Howrah Dakshin, and joraphool candidates across Bengal. The time has come to democratically, decisively, and permanently bid farewell to the BJP from Bengal.

They stand with Maa-Mati-Manush. They stand for Swanirbhor Bangla. This unprecedented turnout has instilled fear in the Bangla-Birodhi Zamindars who have built their entire political existence on division, discrimination, and hatred. Those who seek to undermine democracy, impose dominance, and defile this sacred land will be resisted by the people of Bengal with the full force of their democratic will. To preserve Bengal's culture, civilisation, and heritage, I appeal to every voter to cast their vote for Smt. Tapasi Mandal from Haldia, Shri Raju Chakrabarty (Raj) from Barrackpore, Shri Somenath Shyam Ichini from Jagatdal, Shri Vijay Upadhyay from Jorasanko, and every single Maa-Mati-Manush candidate across Bengal. Today, the people of Howrah Madhya, Kolkata Port, Bhabanipur made a declaration. The spontaneous participation, the energy, the sheer presence of the people have made one truth impossible to ignore. The mandate of Bengal stands firmly, proudly, and irrevocably with Maa-Mati-Manush. In this sacred land where all religions, all communities, and all voices have always coexisted in harmony, the people have spoken with a resounding, unified voice that there is no place here for divisive, Bangla-Birodhi BJP. No place for those who come to this land with hatred in their hearts and hollow promises on their lips. Bengal chooses development. Bengal chooses dignity. Bengal chooses progress. I earnestly appeal to every citizen, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, or language, to press the Joraphool button and deliver a resounding victory for Arup Roy from Howrah Madhya, Dr. Rana Chatterjee from Shibpur, Nandita Choudhary from Howrah Dakshin, and Firhad Hakim from Kolkata Port. The 2024 Lok Sabha election was a rude awakening for the BJP. The party that boasted “Abki Baar 400 Paar” failed to secure a single majority. Now they have begun weaponising constitutional bodies to tilt the electoral scales in their favour. The “Karte Loot, Bolte Jhooth” party failed to win on votes, so now they are trying to win by notes, by misusing money and muscle. They have crossed the ‘Lakshman Rekha’ by conducting SIR in Bengal. If electoral accuracy were the concern, why is SIR being carried out only in Opposition-ruled states among the four heading to polls? Why was BJP-ruled Assam exempted? If the aim was to eliminate “Bangladeshis” and “Rohingyas” from the rolls, why only target Bengal? Bengal shares a border with Bangladesh, just like Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Mizoram. But only Bengal is being singled out. Similarly, states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram, which share borders with Myanmar, are exempted from SIR. Why? Because SIR is nothing but NRC through the backdoor. Who gave the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, and a certain Mir Jafar the authority to question our legitimacy as citizens on the very soil our forefathers bled for? Who authorised them to demand our parents’ birth certificates and make us prove our existence? Do not mistake our civility for weakness. In this fight for people’s identity, constitutional rights, and survival, the Bangla-Birodhis will confront a defeat like never before. Should any harm come to our people, should a single genuine voter be unfairly struck off the rolls, the people of Bengal will march to Delhi with the cry “BJP Hatao, Odhikaar Bachao.” We will bring the zamindars to their knees and, through democratic means, consign this assault on our rights to dust.

Across Chowrangee, Bhabanipur, Jadavpur and Tollyganj, I saw people turn out with clear intent, determined, united, and ready to defend Bengal, its identity, and its future. Those who believe they can run Bengal from Delhi, dictate its politics, divide its people, and distort its culture are deeply mistaken. This land has a long memory and a stronger spine. Those sitting in Delhi, plotting to snatch Bengal’s rights and impose their agenda, should understand it clearly that the people of Bengal are watching, and they will respond through their vote. Every attempt to undermine Bengal will be met with a decisive democratic pushback. This election is about resisting a systematic attempt to weaken Bengal and control it. Development has reached every doorstep in Bengal despite constant obstruction. Our welfare schemes are lifelines, and no force, however powerful it believes itself to be, can take that away from the people. Bengal stands tall today, for progress, for peace, and for dignity. The love and trust of the people are our greatest strength. They drive us forward and will defeat every attempt to weaken Bengal. I urge every citizen to rise above differences, stand united, and vote to protect Bengal’s language, culture, and future. Through the initiatives of our Maa-Mati-Manush Sarkar, we have worked steadily toward a Swanirbhor Bangla, where every family moves forward, and no one is left behind. But Bangla-Birodhi forces from Delhi are working to disrupt what we have built. This authoritarian party seeks to capture Bengal through division, through unrest, and through the deprivation of people's fundamental rights. By exploiting religion, BJP tries to drive wedges between communities that have lived together in harmony for generations. The people of Bengal see through it. They will respond, as they always have, through democratic means. Those who distort Bengal's rich culture, heritage, and history, those who attempt to suppress the rights of ordinary citizens in the name of electoral processes, do not deserve a single vote. I urge the people of Chandrakona, Garbeta, and Bishnupur to stand firm, reject propaganda, and vote with full strength for our candidates, Shri Surjya Kanta Doloi, Uttara Singha (Hazra), and Tanmoy Ghosh. Bengal's daughters are Bengal’s greatest pride. I had the privilege of attending a special felicitation ceremony organised by the Cricket Association of Bengal at the iconic Eden Gardens, honouring Richa Ghosh for her outstanding contribution to India’s World Cup triumph. On behalf of the Government of West Bengal, I conferred upon her the ‘Banga Bhushan’, one of the state’s highest civilian honours. I also announced her appointment as Deputy Superintendent of Police in the West Bengal Police. The presence of legends like Shri Sourav Ganguly, Smt. Jhulan Goswami, and other distinguished guests made the evening even more memorable. May more daughters like Richa continue to emerge from every home in Bengal, inspiring generations and carrying our nation’s name to even greater heights on the world stage.

I remain deeply concerned about the ongoing challenges faced by many citizens regarding their rightful place in the electoral rolls. I have approached the appropriate legal forums, including the Hon’ble courts, with the hope that the constitutional rights of every individual will be protected. I want to assure the people of Bengal that I stand with each one of you, across all religions, castes, and communities, as a member of your family. At a time when divisive forces seek to fracture our social fabric, we must remain committed to unity and mutual respect. Bengal has always stood as a beacon of inclusiveness, where every faith is honoured and every voice matters. Let us continue to uphold the values of peace, fraternity, and dignity that define us.
