Almost a year ago I stood in Cross Roads and said: “The people of Jamaica need a better life. It's even more true today. We would have delivered in our 1st term: * 50,000 affordable homes. Land included. * NHT reformed so it works for the people. But what have we seen in the last year? Bulldozers instead of builders. Evictions instead of ownership. No plan. No compassion. You deserve a government that builds you up, not puts you out. Jamaicans deserve security, not uncertainty. Land. A home. Dignity. That’s still the vision we’re fighting for. Today, I visited Westmoreland to see the devastation from Hurricane Melissa and got a 1st hand look at Darliston, Whitehouse, Friendship, and Grange Hill. MPs Ian Hayles and Dr. Dr Dayton Campbell joined me as we made a stop in each of their constituencies to speak with residents and see how best we can assist in the shortest amount of time. I pledge my continued support for affected families and a unified recovery effort. We all have to come together in the effort to rebuild our country. 🇯🇲

Digital Currency must be an option not a mandate. Right now there was billions spent on new bank notes that can’t even be used in ATM’s. We need a #NewDirection where plans are properly thought out and implemented instead of photo opportunities. #TimeCome

I’m happy to share two updates I know many of you have been waiting for: 1. Colliesmith Drive: After extensive advocacy with the NWA, NWC and CHEC, the sewage system replacement project is approved and work started today. 2. Alley Lane & Admiral Penn Lane: The piping issues are fixed and the roads are now being asphalted. I know this has taken too long and caused real inconvenience. Thank you to everyone who stayed patient with us. The end is in sight, and soon we’ll have the roads our communities deserve. #SouthStAndrew

No Jamaican should be locked out of their own shores. Our beaches are not just for tourists, they’re for our families, our fisherfolk, our communities. The next PNP government will stand up for public beach access and protect what rightfully belongs to the people. #PeopleTimeCome #Championingchange

Good Morning, Jamaica. I want to speak directly to every Jamaican here at home and across the diaspora who has opened their hearts, their homes, and their hands over the past three weeks. From the volunteers who cleared debris, to the farmers who have begun replanting so we can eat, the doctors and nurses who gave their time, the churches, our local suppliers and distributors, NGOs, and Jamaican citizens famous and not who donated food, water, and supplies your generosity has been the lifeline of our early recovery. To our Jamaicans abroad, thank you for the funds, the medical kits, the relief supplies, the barrels and the prayers that have crossed the Caribbean Sea to reach us. Your support has shown the world the true meaning of ‘One Love, One Heart.’ The spirit of unity we’ve witnessed is not just appreciated it is exactly what we need to rebuild stronger and more resilient. Together, we can turn tragedy into hope, and together we will rise again. I wanted to stop and say Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. The word is love! #JamaicaStrong

I Asked Dr. Chang This Question. He Had No Answer. Yesterday I asked Dr. Chang a simple question: Was he aware that a US federal court in Massachusetts has already ruled that these TCN arrangements are unlawful? And that the US government is now appealing that ruling to the Supreme Court? Silence. No answer. Jamaicans deserve clarity on deals that affect our sovereignty, our security, and our reputation. If the US courts have questions about legality, why doesn’t the government? We cannot outsource Jamaica’s decision-making. We cannot gamble with agreements the courts are calling into question. The people deserve answers, not avoidance. #TCN #Accountability #Transparency #GoodGovernance

Thank you, Natalie Neita Garvey, for joining me in singing one of my favourite Christmas carols, O Holy Night. It was such a joy to perform this beautiful duet with you! We hope you will enjoy it as we did. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas filled with love, peace, and endless joy!

🚨 We warned them. They silenced us. Now Jamaicans pockets paying the price. Each time the PNP raised the alarm about the gas hedge tax. that keeping the tax and pocketing the revenue instead of using it for it's intended purpose or to help cushion the crisis. This uncaring and short sighted government shut us down. Today? We face the repercussions of their inaction.. Fuel costs up. Food costs up. Petrojam bleeding millions. And a national budget with zero provisions for relief built on oil at $60/barrel when it's now hitting $100. While governments worldwide are protecting their people, the Holness administration has no plan. Jamaica deserves an administration with vision.

Let’s talk about the importance of transparency and accountability in government. Concerns about recent appointments, including the elevation of an individual closely tied to the Prime Minister to a critical Permanent Secretary role, raise questions about continued cronyism in this Administration. I also question the lack of clarity from Minister Daryl Vaz on the source of the additional $200M that was initially given as the remaining amount needed to restore power to Jamaicans still in the dark. Accountability is paramount now more than ever. #GoodGovernanceMatters

This Government has put the future of the NHT and your housing benefits in jeopardy. We are proud of having built the NHT to provide affordable housing for the people of Jamaica. Michael Manley must be turning in his grave to see its destruction under the current government. We cannot accept that! The next PNP government will restore the National Housing Trust to its rightful role as the central agency for financing affordable home ownership in this country. We will end the Government’s annual extraction of $11.4 Billion from the NHT. We will refocus the NHT on financing the development of affordable housing for Jamaicans. We will do what it takes to establish partnerships with real estate developers to serve the badly underserved market for affordable housing. #TimeComeNow to move Jamaica in the #RightDirection #YourVoteMatters #YourVoiceYourVote

Good Morning Jamaica 🇯🇲 I wanted to tell each and every one of you thank you for the amazing support, love and energy we all shared yesterday. In person and online. Today I also want to thank my children, I’ve been so blessed with 3 wonderful, unique and loving children who never asked for this journey into politics but have had my back all the way. My son Ben narrated this video that so many of you have asked me to share and my beautiful daughters Jessica and Tasmin also contributed to it. It was a wonderful surprise. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. The Word Is LOVE!
