You can’t leave a pension in your will. You need to tell the pension provider or trustees who you want the money to go to if you die, it’s done via a nomination form or expression of wishes form. Make sure yours is done and up to date. Clip courtesy of This Morning

I'm afraid it's now predicted the energy Price Cap will rise 24% in January. The Cap applies to all firms' standard tariffs (bar in N. Ireland), so if you're not on a fix or special deal, you, like most people, are on it. News! From 2027, the full new state pension will be higher than the tax-free allowance, so tax is due. The Chancellor had said people wouldn’t need to do assessments, but on my show tonight, Rachel Reeves said, they won’t pay tax at all this parliament. Watch the full show & budget interview on PS I asked the Chancellor after that… ‘what about those edge-cases who earn just a tiny bit elsewhere like small private pensions?’ she said they won’t be included in this and thus will pay tax.

Age 18 to 39? This is an important warning. Lifetime ISAs can give you £1,000/yr, but they’re to be replaced. Open one with £1 before that and you can keep the facility. Why many opening a junior ISA should consider investing not saving. On a This Morning phone in where a grandma asked Martin 'wheres the best place to save for my new grandchild for when they're all older'. After explaining the savings options Martin suggests perhaps investing is the better option. A junior ISA is a tax-free savings or investment account that can be open for under 18s which you can put up to £9,000 pounds per tax year in.

Pls spread word. Three digits can help protect you from scams: 159. If you're suspicious of a 'call from your bank', politely hang up and dial 159. It connects you to a switchboard that puts you through to your bank's real number. Watch the video for why its extra protection

Martin asks MPs: “Do you know what your equivalised income is?” as that’s what some water firms ask vulnerable people to see if they’re eligible for a social (ie capped costs) tariff. It said it is household income adjusted for size and composition, allowing for a fair comparison of living standards across different households, but accepted it “could be explained more clearly”.
