This is not only my daughter Rafif’s suffering—it is the reality of hundreds of children across Gaza. Viruses are spreading everywhere, the environment has become unsafe, and even the air we breathe is filled with the smoke and residue of constant bombardment. A doctor has initially diagnosed Rafif with a viral infection, possibly affecting her throat or chickenpox, and we are praying for her recovery. Rafif, along with hundreds of children here, is being denied the most basic rights: access to medical care, safety, and a healthy, normal childhood. Please keep my daughter Rafif in your prayers. Pray that God grants her healing, and that all the children of Gaza recover and are protected from all harm.

How can life change in just a single moment? Only moments ago, there was laughter, joy, and play. I was doing everything I could to create a few happy memories for my daughter, Rafif — small moments of happiness for a child who deserves nothing but a normal childhood. And then, suddenly… everything changed. Powerful explosions. Walls shaking. Buildings trembling. And our hearts feeling as though they were about to burst from our chests with fear. Is this justice? I don’t understand in what world we’re living… or on what planet this could ever be normal. Just a few hours ago, everything was fine. I went out with Rafif and my wife—just a simple outing for Rafif, to lift her spirits and help her cope with her pain and exhaustion. But suddenly, in a single moment… everything changed.
