Strengthening India’s resolve towards zero preventable maternal and newborn deaths. The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is advancing SUMAN Roadmap 2030 to strengthen maternal and newborn healthcare from pre-pregnancy care and safe childbirth to postnatal care and timely referral. Prioritising 130 districts across 13 high-focus States, the Roadmap enables focused, locally responsive action by health systems and communities. Nadda’s visit to VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, where he inaugurated the Centre for Advanced Bladder Diagnostics and PET-CT & SPECT-CT facilities. The Centre combines Video Urodynamics (VUDS) with Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS)-based brain mapping—the first such approach being attempted in India.
