This is my little Cousin who as you can see is overjoyed to be back at her home in Omdurman after being displaced in Eastern Sudan for close to two years. So many external narratives have been superimposed on those in Sudan; at the end of the day it’s mainly just people fighting in whatever way they can to be safe in their own homes. Something that most of us around the world are able to take for granted.

In this clip High School Children in Kassala, Eastern Sudan are out furiously protesting the fall and genocide of Al Fashir. Sudanese are repeatedly lectured that they must simply accept they have to co-exist with this UAE sponsored genocidal militia that its dismantlement is “unrealistic” with those who call for it demeaned as “War mongers”. The same people who tell Sudanese that they must surrender would be outraged if you suggested Ukrainians do the same. Why do Sudanese not have a right to resistance and liberation why should they have to settle for continued terror at the hands of a foreign proxy militia?

A while back ago I came across this clip of an Iranian firewoman doing a TikTok trend and it dawned on me just how a single clip can fly in the face of the heavily propagandised orientalist image of Iranian women. Iran is being carped bombed as we speak ostensibly we are told to save its women from oppression; the irony is that many of these Iranian first responders will be women.

The RSF is currently stuck in a death spiral where the more they lose on the ground the more they suffer defections and the more they suffer defections the more they lose on the ground. This RSF militiamen is interrogating these two men who tried to leave the besieged city of Al Fashir over their ethnicity. He asks them if they are Arab or Nuba (Nuba being the generic term RSF militiamen use for all Non-Arab ethnicities) the men say they are Arab but the militiaman seems unconvinced and follows up with more questions about their family. The video cuts out but in other clips where the person identified themselves as Non-Arab they were executed. The RSF militia continues to perpetrate an ongoing genocide in Darfur; with the full support and funding of the UAE.
