Hvannasund (Faroes) has a population of just 432 individuals. Assuming that each eats 250g of meat per month (the maximum amount recommended by Faroese authorities) just two pilot whale is sufficient to supply this community for 12 months. So why, just NINE DAYS after killing 44 pilot whales, was there a need to kill five Atlantic white-sided dolphins? It makes no sense. If it makes no sense to you either, please write to your local politician asking them to publicly condemn the grindadráp hunts.

Japan, which recently inaugurated the largest whaling ship ever built, has been conducting illegal hunts in the Antarctic whaling sanctuary for many years. Paul Watson has long opposed these hunts and led anti-whaling missions in Antarctica. Denmark, which militarily defends the dolphin massacres in the Faroe Islands, is now aiding Japan, despite Japan being convicted by the International Court of Justice in The Hague for illegal whaling in the Antarctic sanctuary.
