✅ Jomo Kenyatta – "K*ma za mama yenyu" … very presidential ✅ Mwai Kibaki – "Mafi ya kuku" … very presidential ✅ Uhuru Kenyatta to Nanok – "shindwe, shetani Mjinga" … very presidential! ✅ William Ruto – "You are a brutal murderer and we shall seek justice for the university ladies you killed" … unpresidential. OMG, very low from the President. We have never seen something like this before. He has lost it.

A local man has over 8 Toyota Harrier grilles in his dusty single room, he doesn’t even have a bed. Your grille is probably here. 🤦🤦

JKIA Touchdown! Kelvin Kiarie Ruhiu, the legend who won Kenya a Gold and a Silver medal at the International Skating Championship in Benin, has landed back in Kenya! Congratulations once again! I hope he will be recognized and honored by the Government for his outstanding achievement. Last year, he participated in an even bigger international competition in Singapore,,,,,, The Inline Freestyle World Championship Singapore 2025, but emerged 4th. He didn’t have proper gear, which was quite embarrassing. He didn’t even have a coach and had to ask the Benin coach to sit beside him (at his corner) He recently got one sponsor who provided him with proper gear, and that’s why he was able to compete successfully in Benin.

You haven’t experienced Maasai culture until a moment like this unfolds before your eyes. It begins like any other evening rhythmic chants rising into the air, the ground echoing beneath the feet of Moran as they leap with pride and precision. The energy is magnetic. You watch, thinking it’s a performance, something beautiful. But then, the moment shifts. The rhythm doesn’t just stay in the air, it enters the body. The chants grow heavier, deeper, almost spiritual. And suddenly, one of the warriors breaks away. Not out of exhaustion, but because something within him has been stirred beyond control. This is what the Maasai call "mori" a surge of emotion so powerful, it refuses to be hidden. There is no panic. No confusion. Only understanding. He is gently guided to sit, as if the moment itself is being protected. And then, quietly, a lady joins him. Not to draw attention. Not for affection. But to ground him, to bring him back from wherever the rhythm had taken him. For a brief second, everything else fades. The dance. The chants. The crowd. What remains is something raw, something deeply human. And just like that, the world returns. The rhythm rises again. The warriors continue. Life moves forward as it always has. But you are no longer the same. Because in that moment, you didn’t just watch Maasai culture, you felt it. And in the quiet, untouched beauty of Nguruman where the land stretches endlessly and time seems to slow, these are not rare moments. They are living memories, waiting to find you. ~ Betty Kiende on IG
