A significant protest is ongoing in Garba district, Nogob, #SomaliState (Ogaden) following a horrific incident where a non-resident worker for a road construction company raped and murdered a nine-year-old child-girl. The locals demanded justice, but the PP administration responded with violence, firing upon demonstrators for two consecutive days. It's disheartening to see that the administration often resorts to using live bullets against peaceful protesters. Since last week, similar incidents have occurred in Jigjiga and Yoxob, where people voiced their concerns only to be met with violent tactics, resulting in numerous injuries.
