Local residents are urging the community to remain vigilant and step forward with any information following a violent assault and dog attack in the Wynwood neighborhood. | #ONLYinDADE According to reports from the victims, a man was running with his German Shepherd when they were suddenly ambushed from behind by two unleashed, aggressive pit bulls. As the runner attempted to intervene and pull the attacking dogs off his pet, the dogs’ owner described as a local homeless man allegedly encouraged his animals to attack the runner. While the victim was on the ground sustaining multiple dog bites, the suspect reportedly struck him, knocking him unconscious. A nearby bystander managed to capture video footage of the incident. Although law enforcement responded to the scene, the suspect was temporarily released and his current whereabouts are unknown.
