That's how a senior IAS officer in J&K — Administrative Secretary, Labour & Employment — dealt with a woman KAS officer who wouldn't be shouted down in front of a room full of officers. He raised his voice. She raised her dignity. He reached for the only weapon a bully in office has: her job. This is a grown man with a Secretary's chair threatening a woman's career because she asked to be allowed to finish a sentence. She was composed. She was clear. She didn't flinch. That is what dignity and self respect looks like. He is what a problem looks like. This is what abrogation of Art 370 has brought upon us. An assault on dignity at every level. Even the officers in administration behave like conquerors. Office of LG J&K Atal Dulloo — if she is touched for holding her dignity, it will have consequences.

"We will talk about Muzaffarabad — but from a position of strength." Aga Syed Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on the reality Kashmiris live with today. He spoke of checkpoints every few kilometres, youth jailed since 2019, and the verification regime that costs people their jobs and passports. Journalists have been booked under UAPA, and people have been made second-class citizens in their own land. Before 2019, he said, Kashmiris could speak from a place of empowerment. Today we are disempowered, degraded. Our hands are tied and tongues locked. Dignity first. Then every conversation.

Heavy security forces in the heart of India's capital to stop citizens reaching Jantar Mantar. This does not speak well of a democracy. Being from Kashmir, none of this is strange to me. We don't cherish it. We warn: this is what happens in Kashmir. Don't let it happen to the rest of the country. Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi

In Parliament, Hon’ble MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi stated that Indian Muslims hold deep respect for the national song. Our choice not to sing certain stanzas arises from religious constraints, not from any deficiency in patriotism. The Constitution guarantees every citizen the freedom of faith, and this freedom cannot be used as a measure of one’s loyalty to the nation. Indian Muslims fought for the freedom of this country together, and remain equally committed to safeguarding that freedom today.

A Kashmiri student from Poonch, Aftaab Hussain, was thrashed in Dr. Hari Singh Gour University for simply joining Navratri festivities. The attackers are alleged to be goons of Hindu Jagran, VHP, Bajrang Dal & BJP’s ecosystem. If Kashmiri students can’t even participate in your events, what does sabka saath mean? You’ve exposed yourselves as the most anti-national, communal force in this country. If anyone deserves to be booked under UAPA, it’s not the Kashmiri student, it’s the BJP, the RSS, and every bigot this Nazi regime has manufactured over the last 11 years. Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi

"Omar sb ne Aga sb ko 'easy seat' pe ladaya, sacrifice diya khud 'tough seat' pe election ladke." A certain breed of NC MLA will now malign Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi day and night. Two reasons: fealty to their King, and the prayer that he throws breadcrumbs of power at them. The MLA from Banihal is a fine specimen of this breed. He says the CM sacrificed Srinagar and took on the tougher seat. He is either lying, or he is too far down the breed's hierarchy to know what actually happened. Here is what actually happened. The CM called Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi and told him to fight Srinagar instead. The excuse was 'indiscipline' up north. The real reason was the Advisor who wanted Omar Abdullah in North Kashmir so his own control over that seat would survive the win. He is this breed's Ringmaster. Alas, Omar Abdullah lost. Listen to Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi break it down.

السلام السلام، يا شهيد السلام In the blessed month of Ramadan, the Ummah witnesses the martyrdom of Hazrat Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei. إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ While the world buried its conscience, he carried the weight of the oppressed on his shoulders. YA Allah elevate him to the highest ranks of Jannah. Ya Allah, grant sabr to the believers and send upon the oppressors what You sent upon the people of the elephant and the army of Pharaoh. لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَنَا

J&K Police has gone rogue. Today they beat grieving mothers and sisters. Their masters in Delhi and Raj Bhavan are competing with Israel. They are suppressing a people for daring to feel. Those in Gupkar who have abandoned their people and offered nothing but hollow words of 'concern', remember, you will stand before Allah on a Day when no office and no alliance will intercede for you.

Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Aga Syed Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi stated in Parliament that while he firmly supports women’s reservation and welcomes the scheduling of discussions around it, he remains strongly opposed to delimitation practices that risk enabling deliberate gerrymandering. He cautioned that such measures, as witnessed in Kashmir, could disproportionately shift political power toward larger northern states like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Gujarat, and Rajasthan - potentially allowing them to dominate national decision-making at the cost of balanced federal representation. He concluded by asserting that true democracy lies not just in inclusion, but in ensuring that representation remains fair, balanced, and just for every region of the country.

We asked one question, just one: Is there a competition between the UP Chief Minister and the Viceroy of Kashmir over who can demolish more Muslim homes? And then another: Is India now being governed by anti-Muslim policies imported from Israel? For four days after repeatedly asking for time, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi was finally given the floor, yet even then, they couldn’t bear to listen. They shut it down before the people could even speak their truth. This is the democracy being advertised to the world. A democracy currently polished for guests, but hollow for its own citizens. This regime 'allows' the Muharram procession, not to honor faith, but to market ‘normalcy’ in Kashmir. If they truly respected religious freedom, the Jama Masjid Srinagar wouldn’t be locked on Eids, on Fridays. Worship wouldn’t need state approval there.

It’s unfortunate to see the conversation reduced to personal attacks. I am not the story here, Ruhullah is just a name. The real story is the existential threat to Kashmir. Do they know where our boys are - those who’ve been jailed for years? Do they still remember the promises made to lift our heads again? We didn’t fight to decorate the dictators with shawls and bouquets. We fought to do right by our people.
