Game Boy was iconic, Chromatic is undeniable. Developed by ModRetro, the Chromatic system is presented as the definitive form of Game Boy Color, manufactured to provide a premium experience, as close as possible to the original, both for veteran players and those who have never owned a Game Boy before. Presented in a 90s-style bundle, we are offered a robust handheld with a magnesium casing, PBT buttons, and a scratch-resistant Gorilla or Sapphire screen. It includes a version of Tetris by ModRetro and 3xAA batteries (~19 hours). Its architecture allows you to play ModRetro games, homebrew, backups, reproduction cartridges, and of course, original games from any region for both Game Boy and Game Boy Color. Plus, you can play multiplayer using the classic Link Cable. Original pixel-perfect resolution, virtually symmetrical latency, and powerful, clear sound. It has a hub that can be activated at any time, allowing you to modify the brightness level, mute the console, streaming or capture, and some other options, such as Cart Clinic, which, thanks to its Wi-Fi network card, allows you to update ModRetro cartridges. Its D-Pad is ultra-comfortable and precise, enhancing the experience with timeless classics. For $220, I can assure you that you'll never need another solution to play Game Boy reliably.

Koudelka's drinking scene should be considered a world heritage moment #spoilers Here the performance of Vivianna Bateman (Koudelka Iasant) and Michael Bradberry (Edward Plunkett), under the direction of Hiroki Kikuta 🎮 MANA 🎮 KOUDELKA, is simply insane by the standards of the time and a trail blazed for generations to come. Moreover, the way the characters, uninhibited by alcohol consumption, open up to each other is "almost" fairytale-like and a masterful way of involving the player in the story, making it unforgettable after completion. It's theatrical. It's Shakespearean. It's timeless and has a powerful message that resonates with the depths of the human condition. We've all been a bit Koudelka at one time or another 🥲

Today on #ReviewsSundays, and thanks to Kid Katana Records, I’m bringing you the official soundtrack for Hotel Barcelona, the irreverent collaboration between Hidetaka SWERY SueHERO and SUDA51/須田剛一 Crafted with care by a stellar lineup of composers: Junya Nakano (Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy IV), Takahiro Izutani (Yakuza 2, Bayonetta, MGS4), Shota Nakama (Founder of the Video Game Orchestra), Takako Yumishima, under the musical direction of TECHNOuchi (Dark Souls, Ace Combat X). The result is an album inspired by classic ’90s horror movie scores such as John Carpenter’s, infused with action, absurd humor, and a good dose of madness. An eclectic and surprising collection of tracks that perfectly reflect the twisted yet playful spirit of #HOTELBARCELONA. You can purchase it here:

Taken from Promise Mascot Agency, objectively one of the best and most original games of 2025, in today's Reviews Sundays we'll take a look at its merchandise, thanks to the kind folks at Symbiote Studios and Black Screen Records First up, the detailed Pinky☆ plushie. This passive-aggressive mascot who, along with ex-yakuza Michi, run the PMA in search of downtime mascots to hire to improve tourism and commerce in Kaso-machi town. It's of a more than adequate size and made with the best materials and finishes. I fell in love with it as soon as I had it in my hands. Also, we take a look at the vinyl and cassette set of the excellent soundtrack from this game, made by Alpha Chrome Yayo and Ryo Koike, with vocals by NOZ🌛*゜. Seriously, even if you listen to it decontextualized you won't be able to deny the mesmerizing charisma and energy of each song. Undoubtedly, some of the best LPs in my collection that I'll never stop listening to. And if that wasn't enough, the methacrylate keychains with the designs of Michi (the protagonist), Pinky☆ and To-Fu, close a set of derivative products at the height of the work of PROMISE MASCOT AGENCY ⛩️ OUT NOW! ⛩️

In today's #ReviewsSundays, Philip Summers & Nintendo Force Magazine bring us this hand-drawn detailed guide for Mega Man (1987) and Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge (1991). In around twenty chapters, there's a brief retrospective on the release of each game, an overview of each version released, and an in-depth look at the lore through excerpts from Dr. Light's diary, descriptions of characters and enemies, as well as each object. Through the author's reinterpretations (with Capcom's approval), we're presented with a global map showing all the sections of the game, as well as individual maps for each screen, reimagining the playable limits as never before. As if that weren't enough, they're accompanied by immersive illustrations of both iconic moments and boss battles. Of course, the volume is the best ally for progressing through these challenging games, compiling the best tips and strategies (as well as the ideal order of progression).
