A powerful step towards animal protection. Following a case initiated by PETA India, the Karnataka High Court ruled that nine dogs rescued from alleged abuse should not be returned to the accused, observing that animals are not mere property. The dogs have since been rehabilitated into loving homes through Compassion Unlimited Plus Action #CUPA, Charlie's Animal Rescue Centre and #SafescapeFoundation, where they will remain while trial proceedings continue. PETA India thanks the High Court of Karnataka for putting the welfare of the dogs at the forefront and sending a clear message that cruelty to animals will not be tolerated. #AnimalRights #AnimalWelfare #PETAIndia
